Hi,
Just updated STEQ to version 2.
Now, it has smooth optical compressor with auto-release.
Update notes;
- Added master meter
- Added compressor
- Added preamp / input control
- Fixed oversampling

Also, announcement for STCAR.
It's based STEQ.
8 channel version with independent bypass for EQ and Compressor.
Also, there is a logo. It will be clickable as main bypass.
It's my new goal. Still working on it. If i reach my goal, i will release STCAR.
Thanks.

Hello!
Do your summing plugins emulate crosstalk?
Thank you!

For now, i released only NCAR as summing plugin and it has no crosstalk. I wanted to make it clean.
Thanks.

Back at the audio institute, we had emulations of crosstalk as part of a mixdown compared directly against non-crosstalk mix. Non-crosstalk always won. Let's be thankful we don't have to include crosstalk in plugin land.perpetual3 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 3:02 pm Hello!

Why would you think this knob order makes sense?
Shouldn't it be high, mid, low - going from top to bottom?

Digital emulations of crosstalk, which ones? Or compared to an Analog Desk of decent Quality kind of crosstalk, so let's say if the Audio Institute would be an SAE, this might be a Neve Console in the Big Studio. So digital emulated crosstalk, which usually just cramps up the Stereofield and doesnt have much to do with what is going on inside a HQ analog console; should indeed always loose vs. non digital crosstalk. But I might be wrong overall and you were actually meaning the Crosstalk on those old Multitrack Tape machines vs. the digital emulation of that... Let's maybe agree that there might be a little bit more analog mojo to all of this, then 'lets be thankful we dont have x-talk in plugin land'. A little bit of too 'ranty' for me on here and not meant to start an argument or anything, so just my 2 cents & surely a bit OT.TMaudio wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 3:29 pmBack at the audio institute, we had emulations of crosstalk as part of a mixdown compared directly against non-crosstalk mix. Excellent work @Tunca, looking #ffr to try this one out.

Thank you, AO.
Sometimes, it's good to have simple handy tools like these.
It looks very good (but that's right the eq layout is very strange.

Exactly. I think it's actually super-egoistical to pester developers and passive-agressively try to persuade them into wasting their time on this outdated stuff just because they are too lazy to update their ancient system. "I don't feel like doing this so everyone instead should…."
"Preamps have literally one job: when you turn up the gain, it gets louder." Jamcat, talking about presmp-emulation plugins.
