hi guyz! What is the reason of that some developers don't give us the chance to try their stuff? Many times they don't create demo versions and if they behave like this, the people won't buy software, because they haven't tasted them...I started this topic because I wanted to try Steinberg's Xphrase and Stylus RMX from Spectrasonics but they only have audio demos...crap!

now, what do you think about this?

Post

Some software instruments aren't very practical to have demos of, for example if they are romplers or other sample-based plugins. The demo downloads would be huge.

WusikStation had a demo, and that wasn't huge, but it had limited range of samples and presets.

I agree in general, wherever possible the developer should provide a demo version.

Xphraze do have a demo version:

as for Stylus RMX, give them some time. the product is fairly new. they may release a demo version in a not too distant future.

before complaining, be sure to know the facts.
oh! and welcome here :D

There was a demo version of Xphrase on a ComputerMusic coverdisc a while back, so I'd guess if you hit steinbergs ftp site (can't remember address) you could find it.

Shif.

there never has been a demo of stylus. the sample set is just too huge to even give a taste

yeah, yeah... i'm sorry for my mistakes
i simply forgot that xphrase has a demo version, and I couldn't download it by an unknown reason(should I drink less?:))- but now it comes to papa:)

i could give up those samples from stylus, i just want to see the capabilities of the prog. well, i have to wait patiently...

thanx for your answers!
