A subscription for 1 year DOES offer a permanent plugin license yearly. That's what we've been saying for pages in this thread.PatchAdamz wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2020 3:48 am It would be nice if the subscription offered a single permanent plugin license yearly.
I think this would be more incentive for many users.

No, it isnt.EnochLight wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2020 4:29 am A subscription for 1 year DOES offer a permanent plugin license yearly. That's what we've been saying for pages in this thread.
There are many conflicting things people have been told. Some have been told your account must have been activated before 2019 to qualify for "rewards" instruments.
Others have been told, if they use the options to subscribe for 1, 3, or 5 years etc (rather than the more expensive monthly option) they will not qualify for such instrument "rewards" because those long-term options are already discounted, so you "already got your reward" (!!!!.. )
These are things people are saying, in this thread, that RC support told them. In short the situation is as clear as mud.
At no stage has anyone been able to post a statement, from Roland Cloud, which made the criteria for qualification fully clear. Subscribe for 12 months? You can do that both monthly and yearly. Do both qualify? Why are people being told one doesn't? Why are they being given excuses for when and why they can't claim instruments?
In the page, immediately prior to this one, user Caine123 is telling us he's trying to claim his instruments and cannot. Instead he's been given excuses by Roland Cloud support, that it'll be "fixed at a later date".
The whole thing is a mess. All they need to do is make some sort of clear statement, about qualification criteria, on their website. Instead all you get is "we'll let you know more about these exciting rewards soon" sort of thing, which tells people nothing.

Hi pak! I just want to add something so there is no misunderstanding. In the thread much earlier i dunno if i confirmed this too but the subscribers (i think only those who subscribed in the forst period and didnt pause or cancel!) Could incl. Me choose 2 permanent licenses.
I have to be over 2 years now subscribed i need to check how long exactly but it is 2 years and some months now and after logging in after a longer rime to check and use some vsts i had to migrate. I did that and still saw my 2 permanent (i dunno exactly how this is handled if roland cloud should ever cancels the cloud) but i didnt see any option to claim my new permanent licenses then i got the reply as stated before of roland.
1. This is a real unprofessional reply of roland cloud support
2. Do we know if we still get 2 permanent licenses each year?
3. What about people who subscribe new? Do they get those too?
I fully agree that there cloud is not well made and there are no concrete answers afaik.

The 2 rewarded instruments that i got after i had cancelled my subscription (which are Jupiter 8 and System-8 plugins) are still working nicely here so far.
Currently this is the only info at Roland Cloud FAQ about the loyalty program:
https://www.rolandcloud.com/support
No clue if permanent licenses are still offerend when you are currently subscribed.

This, I agree with. It's been a convoluted mess from the start, because I honestly believe they didn't know what the hell they were doing at launch. Obviously they still don't. It's sad.PAK wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2020 8:04 am The whole thing is a mess. All they need to do is make some sort of clear statement, about qualification criteria, on their website. Thanks for all the info & help on this Enoch, I really appreciate it. I had no idea this was possible. I went ahead and did it, since I was literally never using my Juno 106 license (because I use TAL U-No-LX instead, every time).EnochLight wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2020 4:21 am Yes, an active sub = active paid subscription. And yes, it works fine. Just switched out my SH-101 for a Jupiter 8 a few minutes ago. Simples. And you can switch shit out as much as you want, just as long as your sub is active.
So subscribe for 1 month or something, and you'll be able to switch your lifetime stuff out. Then cancel your sub. Fin!
So I swapped it out for the 303, which goes nicely with my other choice (the 808). These two are really strong.

The only SRX card still available is Dynamic Drums, so we can probably expect that. But that's the very last card available, so we'll absolutely see something newFunkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2020 11:34 pmIn my head, it's clear that Roland Japan coded the boutique, ACB/DCB and Aria synths and those were ported to the VST plugins. But at the same time, the other plugins were probably coded by a different team. Until Roland announces new boutiques, I'm not expecting anything fun. The focus recently on dumping SRX libraries into the Cloud is just a waste of everyone's time, it's mostly garbage throughout.

There's 4 AIRA / Boutique things RC still haven't released. The Juno 60 (part of the JU-06A), the VP-03, which is the Boutique VP-330 string machine/vocoder, and the 606 and 707 drum machines (TR-8S etc). It will likely not be a good sign if these don't make it over, in terms of what you could expect from future support for Roland Cloud, since the initial modeling / DSP work has already been done for those. You could also argue a Jupiter-4 emulation is possible since most of that work would've been done with the Pro Mars.Shiek927 wrote: Sun Apr 12, 2020 4:39 amThe only SRX card still available is Dynamic Drums, so we can probably expect that. As they've had over 3 years, to release the VP-03 VST, that looks rather doubtful. Behringer also released their VC340 analogue clone in the meantime (which only costs about $100 more than the VP-03 Boutique). This puts Roland's whole Boutique strategy into question - Who would buy Boutique emulations if you're getting real analogue clones, with arguably better build quality, for almost the same price?!
Roland's kept their latest model, the JX8P, exclusive to their new Zen Core platform (Fantom, Jupiter X/M etc.) It would also be interesting to see if new offerings only appear on Zen Core, or if Roland still intends to keep the Boutique thing going, and how or even whether that translates to any future support for new Roland Cloud products.
Other than the 4 things mentioned, it may be that Zen Core has taken them in a different direction, thus spelling the end of their support in terms of new RC products. Or maybe they'll surprise us all..

PAK is talking about them being done in Roland Cloud as plugins, I believe.electro wrote: Sun Apr 12, 2020 1:06 pm 707 and 606 were already done in the AIRA TR-8/TR-8S line. They are also in the DJx0x Serato controllers.

I really hope to see a Jupiter-6 personally but don't expect that to happen.

As per Roland Customer Support, the loyalty program ended on December 31st 2018, so anyone who has had an account from prior to then can still get those permanent licenses, anyone who has signed up after then will NOT get these.

Weird. Less than 2 months ago I was told this by Customer Support. Can't remember if I signed up before or after December 2018 though:neonhaus wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2020 1:02 pm As per Roland Customer Support, the loyalty program ended on December 31st 2018, so anyone who has had an account from prior to then can still get those permanent licenses, anyone who has signed up after then will NOT get these.

Once again - the eligibility requirements ended at the end of 2018, if you've had an account prior to that you're still eligible. Terrible customer service and awful that they keep these details in the dark.

So the loyalty program is over, then. That really sucks.
