Arranger track is really cool. It lets you store and play several arrangements before you commit. Really opens up the program to songwriters and composers. It’s nice to see that they’re adding new features instead of just squashing bugs, which they have done quite successfully. Hopefully they will continue down this path and make the Matrix view fully functional like in Live, Bitwig, Mixcraft, etc. Also, automation and CC editing could use a revamp and if they added articulation management on top of that it would become a viable alternative for composers. One can only hope...

As a former Sonar user it makes me happy to see them steaming ahead.

The implementation of the arranger track is great. This is something that Cubase and Riffworks had that I have wanted in Cakewalk since the Sonar days. So excited with the direction they are moving to add stability first and then new features that really improve workflow.

Looks like they did a more thorough job than Presonus did when they added Arranger Track to Studio One. At least in Sonar you can create Arranger Track playlists, which I don't think is possible in S1.

You can also export all arrangements simultaneously!

Seems really cool
What I wonder about is
"The Arrangements area allows you to sequence sections in a non-linear manner without destructively moving any clip data, regardless of which order they appear in the project’s timeline."
If you can make jagged separator, to keep some hit on drums within a section even though played ouside. Thinking about a crash+tom before drums play full etc - small fills like that. I felt that Cubase lacked in this area.
And also wonder if Cubase flatten project - so a new project be created that does not need arrangetrack anymore.
It only says this
"Committing an arrangement
To (destructively) render the current arrangement to the project’s timeline, click the Commit Arrangement to Project button.
Exporting arrangements
You can export one or more arrangements without first having to render it to the timeline. To do so, click the Arrangements menu and select Export as Audio."
I just assume once you added longer intros, some extra bridge/break or repeated chorus - that some final touch is needed and then you want a regular project.
Exactly how clips are split between sections and such.
Not so fond of the idea - once in arrangement track remains there.

Is this the type of thing you are talking about?lfm wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2020 8:35 am

Not sure what you are trying to prove with that. For example, "Studio One", or "studio" and "one" are very general search terms, that's why you get a lot more search results.
Try to search with the search terms in quotation marks. E.g. "Studio one crashes on startup". Otherwise you search for any word in the string.
