Softube Modular

Its now alternating. Seems to be every other time I load Modular and then load the Vermona it just crashes. Go figure!

did you report this to softube, my experience with softube support is positive. maybe the reaction time is now a little bit longer... but report it.

EDIT: newest version of reaper, windows 10 (1909 with april maintance), asio driver for behringer umc204hd, laptop. and yes reproduced! i will report it.

EDIT: and reported it, perhaps more reports will speed up the process. of course people who don't have this issue.... report it here...

I haven’t updates yet or purchases the Vermona module, but I’ll do so I’m the next day or two. I love Heartbeat, and this seems like the perfect addition to use with those modules.

Been playing around with it and works great with Rings and VCO with very short release

don't you experience any crashes?

EDIT: tried reason 10 now, first a buchla, not first a vermona, didn't work. or is there always a compatibility problem with softube modular and reason 10?

it seems a windows problem, then. reason 11 i tried too (only a demo, will not buy it, reason 10 is enough..), also crash.

on 2 systems, by the way.

Have not notice crashes up to now. Reaper and W10 pro here.

Anybody having issues with installing Softube Central? Mine jumps to ~40% immediately and then doesn't move.

That happened to me, I had to restart the Download Manager twice.

Thanks. I’ve given up on it now.

It finally installed but told me I owned no products and failed to connect to wherever it was meant to (ie iLok or the Softube server).

that error, is a known error in softube central. but it works now for me, because iLok was connected in my account, but not the right way it seems. o well.

Thanks. I have gone back to the individual installers. I'm not a beta tester so can't be arsed doing work for them for free. I'll try again in 6 months. No biggie.

I do have it I think given I have Komplete Ultimate. Might need to install it and/or fire it up one day.

Even for the paid blocks racks, you still get way more bang for your buck than you do with Softube.

The update to Modular seems to make Ableton work incredibly slowly, even though it doesn't appear to be due to cpu issues.

It’s true in some ways. But the sound quality of Modular is in my opinion, some of the best in the software world. That’s why I went with it.

No one else having crashing problems with the Vermona module? Waiting for a reply from support. Windows 10, Live 10. Always nice to know you are not alone. Or perhaps no one else has bought it!
