Korg Collection (V2.0 released, GUI update!)

Maybe finally I'll actually use the plugins (WS & M1) I have bought ages ago in a box when they were still dongled to get over the tragic loss of my hardware WS rack...

I still have this Legacy Collection box. Copyright 2005 Korg Inc, Windows XP Logo, Korg/Syncrosoft dongle

Are the version 2 Wavestation and M1 instruments working fine on Windows 10?

I am about to pick one and forget about demoing any.

Working fine here on Win 10 so far but ymmv.

"Sorry for the misunderstanding. The Triton was the only software available as a demo. I will need to research this new option and get back to you."

However, I am seeing that there are no demo plugins contained in it. I am only seeing demo of Triton, nothing else.

I am mainly interested in demoing Wavestation, M1, and MonoPoly.

I have the sent same query to KORG app User Community. I hope to get a better response there. But I think it is too much of a time waste. Rather, I should just grab the Wavestation and get done with Korg for now.

Typical of Japanese synth hardware makers dabbling in the software market... The app user community used to be an open forum. They deleted and shut all access to it as a user-to-user forum. Korg just DGAF. The company is a hardware seller. The only reason we get software from them at all is because the upper management sees money sitting on the table and wants their name spread wider. We basically have to be happy that we ever get anything at all beyond the bare minimum.

Dice not working in Wavestation.

MDE-X so tiny. I've clicked on the KORG logo to reveal global settings but don't see any size settings there.

Win 10 here. No issues. Dice ok in Wavestation. MDE-X is definitely resizable. Click the logo and the screen size menu is there in the lower part.

I was in the middle of writing you a gigantic reply and then I thought, I'll download the exe from my account, use that to uninstall and then install the new version.

Restarted the Computer and guess what? ... now I'm seeing a brand new interface, with the Menu you mentioned. I was looking at the old, extremely tiny version when I posted.

Thanks very much for your help. Knowing that it was definitely a problem at my end made it so much easier to diagnose and resolve.

Yeah, you are quite right. If they did software business like some American or European companies, I am sure they would sell their software a lot more.

That's why now I am not bothered about "demoing" their plugins.

Once I do this, am I correct that there should be a button to update the Legacy Collection to this new Version 2? In other words, no new coupon code will be e-mailed to me by Korg (or is required)?

You should have received a ID code for the Kkorg Collection when you bought it (or upgraded). You use that code to add the new downloads to your account. I downloaded the individual installers like that. Installed them to a new location in my VST folder. Everything installed and working now.

LegacyCell is still @ v1.5.0.0. That explains why I wasn't seeing any change.

MS-20 clicking on the first two patches now. I may have inadvertently exaggerated earlier as I was distracted by the vurt the genie of the wobbly bits in another thread.
