Hi Attila

Thanks again for the rapid development of the great RapidComposer.

A couple of requests:
1) When you release a "fix" to a beta, please can you name it something like "3.9b10.1"?
2) Please can you make RC remember (for the next install) the currently installed location of the app and VST directories?

thank you for the kind words!

I think it makes less confusion if the beta version is a simple number (3.9b11) even if it contains only bug fixes.

I made sure the installer uses the same application ID as previous installers, so it will remember the application install location. It is very difficult (if at all possible) in this installer to remember the VST directory locations, unfortunately. The default location is "VSTPluginsPath" in Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VST. If you don't use the default path (C:\Program Files\Vstplugins) you can replace the value with your directory in the Registry Editor. Fortunately the VST3 plug-ins are in a standard location...

RapidComposer 3.9b11 is available!

Improvements:

Fixed: in the plug-in windows mouse clicks sometimes did not work on the right side of the UI
Fixed: on Windows the Chord Selector window was not redrawn in the VST2/VST3 plug-ins
Fixed: crash when opening the Quick Suggestions

Just noticed the "add to Rules".. You made my Christmas Card List..

When in the chord selector, and hovering in the chord area, can you add the ability to scroll that with the middle mouse button?

Yes, I remember you requested this feature a long time ago, so it was high time...

Good idea... You can scroll over the scrollbar with the middle mouse button at the moment.

I want to notice one serious inconvenience in the Melody Editor. Melodies Editor does not save anything together with the Composition .. Neither the generated melody itself, nor the settings and generation options (I'm not saying that it would be nice to make saved presets, but at least record the last work done) Thank you!

Yes indeed.. anyways.. when adding as rules from the progression browser, the "add dialog" clips inside of the popup menu, based on the font I am using.. which is whatever RC decided for me to use..

Hi lulukom,

no, the Melody Editor phrase saves everything: the melody notes, settings and generation options. How can I reproduce this problem?
The only issue that I found that "melody variety", "rhythm variety" and "rhythm type" controls were not updated when opening a ME phrase.

I also checked saving and loading presets. That also includes everything.

problem solved b11 install correct but because my link on desktop want start RapidComposer_x64 and now it is name RapidComposer it fail. i change my link and all ok

a Q.
it seems we can use VST2 and VST3 versions side by side to get more than 16 channels (didn't tried in full project to check in every aspect yet..)

i also tried via copying (VST2) "RapidComposer_x64.dll" and renaming copy to "RapidComposer_x64-2.dll"
i was able to open 2 instances of VST2 version (again .. didn't tried in a full project yet .. just blank RC s)
but in the Reaper i see two identical names "VSTi: RapidComposer (MusicDevelopments)"

question is :
am i missing something obvious? is there is a way / workaround for
-avoiding 16 Ch midi limit- : Only one instance of RC can be used ?

and a report

Windowns 7 Ultimate x64
Reaper 6.08 x64
RC 3.9b11 x64
also just in case i am using two 1920x1080 monitors
...
in the Reaper
RC VST2 and VST3 x64 seems both needs their GUI always open,
tried them one by one in the different Reaper projects..
when i close the RC GUI and press to Play: Reaper crashes.
