Yeah, Apple needs to really be ashamed about not updating some of those old plugins in Logic. No other MAJOR DAW has interfaces that look like they were on the set of Cheers.

Plus how long does it take to update EXS24? Like, I mean REALLY? I don't want anymore whack loops or silly features. I just want them to focus on making the program more cohesive and less buggy.

Don't worry! They're currently having a time-out on the 'naughty' step, and there's a very strong likelihood that they'll be sent to bed without any supper!

Evidently, a little longer

Do you mean, "REALLY", or is it only like you mean that?

Reaction to the new loops feature seems pretty positive, so you seem to be in the minority.

Well, they've spent the last couple of years trying to make the program less buggy. And it's not too much of a stretch to imagine that the current crop of plugins that haven't been given new face-paint for a reason i.e that they have plans to overhaul the core functionality of said plugins; in which case just refreshing the gui would be a stupid waste of resources.

If you are experiencing bugs, make sure to report them to Apple :tu:

I imagine it'll eventually end up in Mainstage, also. However, it'd still make sense in Logic, as such functionality can really help in the composition process :tu:

I don't think there will be any loops based on the sound of whacking, so you should be good.

Mhh, i would agree on some things but then Logic is still the best bang for the money. Don´t like it?
Leave it!
I also would like a more advanced and new GUI for EXS24 but f.e. on V.I.Control there are some composers raving about it all the time and do not want it to change. I mean they are pro and make actually their income with these tools, so what do i know.
Otherwise its a bit night and day. Most tools are updated and f.e. i find things like the ChromaVerb looks better than any other stock reverb.
Its not all perfect and sometimes i hate Logic, since it likes to crash once a day at least.
But still, the only DAW i feel home and i doubt that will change. I tried them all but only would maybe choose Bitwig as a second DAW but so far Logic until i die.

But in Alchemy you can morph in a smooth way from burning to frozen boomwhackers into woomsuckers and even whackerjabberwockies.
