Not all. Some of the 32 bit versions before everything was moved to Patreon were apparently infected as a result of a website attack.

No. I downloaded only the 64 bit plugins and got malware warnings as soon as I unzipped them. I didn't download any of the 32 bit plugins but still had to spend the next 24 hours cleaning malware from my system.

Unzipping malware doesn't install them on your computer. In fact, it seems your AV detected it on time. How can you be sure all the malware you've found wasn't already there before unzipping those plugins?

How can you be sure it wasn't caused by AO? Tunca has already admitted his software was infected, after initially denying it. I have never had a malware issue before (or since) I downloaded these plugins. Just a coincidence that me and many others had exactly the same problem after downloading AO plugins? Unlikely.

1. Those who were early adopters and paid for the plugins.
2. Plugin developers that see these FREE high quality plugins as a threat to their business.
3. Those who join in with the "mob mentality".

4. Those who have watched this developer pull some really dishonest shit over the last few years, and who wouldn't take his plugins even if they were free

2. The plugin developers are already hurting from companies selling for $29, now FREE?

Possible solution:

Create a limited line of plugins just for your Pateron and early customers.

Here's an idea...

I wonder how feasible it would be to offer customized face plates?
The ability to add a company logo, change the color or maybe even a specific GUI size?
This service would be a small fee, but free to Patreon and early adopters.

Could be a whole new market for small independent developers...

It's now 04/17 and this problem was resolved a long time ago.

I know this was just another of Tunca's sock puppets and was banned but since Tunca is obviously reading this thread I'll respond.

I didn't say this was recent, it was in response to people who didn't think there was any malware at all during that episode.

Anyway I think it's crystal clear that Tunca is someone to steer far away from. Like I said there are just too many other effects plugins out there many of which are free to bother with Analog Obsession. Beware......

So you had to submit the zip file to an online scanner to know the plugins were infected?
Again, how dou you know you wasn't already infected with other malware before downloading AO plugins?
Sorry but I can't believe a few plugins in a zip file will compromise your OS at a point you have to spend 24h cleaning it. The plugins have to be run to infect any OS. Just downloading and unzipping them will do nothing.
I don't want to excuse Tunca or anything like that!
Back then I was the one who found out and said here in KVR that the "new" company domain was registered by him, even if he denied. After that he admitted it was him, and a lot of things have changed since then.
