i tried to download all the seperate installers, via softube central i deinstalled all softube stuff i have, i used the seperate installers. it works now in reaper. shall try now ableton live 10.1.9 suite, no luck, but if you first load a preset with vermona in it, it works....SHall1000 wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 5:03 pm No one else having crashing problems with the Vermona module? so reaper works, ableton live 10.1.9 suite not, windows 10 home 1909 (2020-4 cumulative update).
both are routed via the nvidia card, or forced to work with the dedicated graphics card.
openGL turning of or on doesn't work. but strangely it works now for reaper.
i shall try to deinstall modular, launce live, close live, install modular and watch what happens then.
both reaper and live doesn't see the newly installed plugins as newly installed. i can try reason. no cubase at this time.

Don't have Vermona but having issues on Live 10, Win 10 since the update...SHall1000 wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 5:03 pm No one else having crashing problems with the Vermona module? don't have issues with live 10 on win 10, with modular. @shonky, what kind of issues?
deinstalled modular, launched live, installed modular, so it can rescan it. no luck. only the vermona module gives problems.
strangely it works now in reaper....
perhaps a driver issue. i can't troubleshoot on 2 systems now, and all daw's...
i reported it, but not in a great way, clear way... the dump files for windows i can't access, strangely enough... try a work around...
but loading a preset first with vermona in it, and it seems to work in live 10.
EDIT: i update my ticket with softube with the only dump file i could find.
why it now works without flaws in reaper? reaper handles graphics differently. perhaps. i don't know.
and strange that i don't have all the dump files anymore... or i am too tired...
i had visual studio installed on this laptop, to take on programming again (for controllers..), but i decided too much work, not enough pleasure. i want to write and make music. not making things that others could do better, or are already there, but not updated. or could do better... once, once, many years ago.....
perhaps someone else can confirm or deny... perhaps it is nvidia problem.. but it is strange that it only happens with one module.............

I’m new to Softube Modular and I’m absolutely loving it! I’m just wondering about a few curious details.
1) is it ONLY a stereo plugin? One thing I like to do with Reaktor is to run 2 different voices through guitar pedals. I’ve got 2 outputs and 2 inputs that I use for this. Because Softube only has Stereo outs my i/o has to be linked. I can’t run 2 different chains like I can in Reaktor.
2) no audio in? Mutable Instruments Rings is specifically designed to have an audio input... it seems to be an odd oversight when they go to such lengths to be exact in their recreations

it has multiple outs, they are the aux, but i don't use them. they are more for cv control me thinks, can the be used as audio. try it.plunk&boomaudio wrote: Tue May 12, 2020 2:22 am I’m new to Softube Modular and I’m absolutely loving it! I’m just wondering about a few curious details.

I do use the multiple outs but they are ONLY stereo outs. So when I expand the mixer in logic it only gives stereo channels - no possibility of mono outs. That means the i/o plugin will only operate as a stereo in and out - the 3&4 outputs and 1&2 inputs on my interface are linked. Meaning I can’t send and record 2 separate voices and guitar pedal chains. This is easy with Reaktor because the outputs can be mono - I’m able to send one voice to output 3 and input 1, and another one to output 4 and input 2. I can’t do this with Softube.
I find that a bit odd because hardware modular stuff is usually mono and they try to replicate the modular experience exactly

Hmmm... I’ll check later but I’m pretty sure it’s possible to have mono output.

mmmmh, i wanted to ask which DAW you use. cubase does the same thing, making it stereo outs, reaper also, but you have more routing capabilities in reaper. softube modular and reason 10 isn't a good marriage. so i never use it in reason 10.plunk&boomaudio wrote: Tue May 12, 2020 11:21 amThanks! has logic routing capabilities,me thinks it have. i don't know nothing about mac's. always windows (and no, i shall not say which one is better, it is personal, and i am used to windows since 1995..).
cubase it routing capabilities aren't also not extensive, a pity, but not really a problem. but you can route to busses, i.e. groups, etc. but from stereo to 2 times mono.
but still you have the problem of 1 stereo input.
all my inputs of my interface are mono (o well that is with every interface...). linked in the app for the interface (can also be set to mono), but recognized by all daw's, i can change it from stereo to 2 mono inputs in my case. all inputs. i don't know logic, but it seems a very basic process, or is the interface a problem.
i have a pre-amp, for vocals, has two inputs/outputs, but they appear as two seperate inputs.
i have never used multiple outputs in reaktor, never had to it. haha.
there must be a way. for multiple mono outputs. from stereo. tried in cubase, think the wrong approach. o well not that far away from it. google helped. i was on the right path...
https://www.steinberg.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=149000
perhaps this helps, using sends. didn't google it for logic.
EDIT: me thinks a logic user comes to the rescue. in cubase it is a lot of fuzz.. o well, that is always, in cubase, but me likes...

reaper works, but crashes also, in an erratic way, i mean, you don't know when.RPH wrote: Wed Jul 29, 2020 6:12 am Not sure which DAW (Reaper or Renoise) I tried with the Vermona module, but also crashes here... months ago.

if it is a project that is loaded on startup of reaper, with the vermona module in soft modular, then it crashes for sure...
