Hi all. I have had Zebra 2 for a couple of months now. I really like dialling in bass sounds with it in Logic but I have a problem when it comes to sub bass, which as we all know should be in mono.

Even very basic patches in Zebra 2 with say 2x Quad oscillators through 1 filter with no effects on it are coming out stereo! How do I ensure that it's mono?

the simplest (and probably best) option is use a sub sine layer or sometimes a saw/square.
Low-pass it and high-pass the bass you made.

Ok I can do that using another synth for the sine! Does that mean Zebra can't do Mono Sub Bass on its own then as it doesn't seem to do Mono Sine waves? Every Wave it pumps out seems to have a stereo image.

I get it, cheers. That works if you have a single oscillator but with a Dual, Quad or Eleven osc it still gives a stereo image even with width turned to 0. I'll have to experiment.

As you can tell it has a stereo image just from using 3 Quad waves with width turned down. I could hi pass it but would only get a few harmonics to add to a sine as it's quite a low bass sound.

I have another way that I've thought of too! Simply bounce the track to audio in stereo and then convert that to mono in Amadeus Pro! Sound about right?

whatever works.

the problem to converting to mono in that you are combining left and right so you can/will get phasing on the sub harmonic.
So the hi-pass - low-pass method works flawlessly
