on sale $65 - 25% = $48.75
Tempting

As for Riffer I may get the iOS version and hope that it has the same features as the VST version.
VST for $55, iOS for $6.99.

I still prefer chord generators over note generators.
Riffer into Obelisk is excellent - I am hoping the Scaler update will have something better again

(Riffer into Obelisk into codeFN42 RandARP is amazing, but not stable in Reaper - Reaper is not stable in Reaper lol)

Riffer goes on sale sometimes

is randARP stable on your system? On Reaper for me it crashes whenever I automate anything or pretty quickly after I turn say the probability knob

Post

Yes, very stable in Cubase 10 and Ableton. Cannot speak for Reaper, though.
CodeFN42 plugins in general have always been reliable from what I can say and deserve some thumbs-up for creativity.

I am very sick of Reapers crappy midi performance with vst instruments - never seems to improve. But for audio it is fantastic and I do a lot of audio.

Is there a special reason for Oscurium (which I do not have) or another VSTi will do?

Post

Yes. Obscurium can host VI´s and is a secret weapon among the generative music machines. It can randomly load presets from the inserted plugin, has its own clock, dedicated arpeggiation, sequencing and chording engine. In combination with the above mentioned tools you can create unpredictable chaos or even slow down and reverse the expansion of the universe.

Wow!
will it also do do the laundry?

I had an opportunity to get Obscurium on sale.
Let it slip through my fingers
Perhaps next time.

Post

Well, I´m not so sure about the laundry :D

It is on sale right now at Audio Deluxe for $59
A good price for what it does.

Checked my notes.
I passed on OBSCURIUM when on sale for $39.99.
The demo songs were not inspiring.
Get? But best to wait for a better price.

Thanks for your input.

Great review on Riffer 2
https://www.gearslutz.com/board/reviews ... r-2-a.html

https://audiomodern.com/Plugins/

Now at $54 . I suppose a sale at $29 will me a happy buyer and user.
So for now since my needs do not require a full featured midi sequencer/piano roll I will wait.
But Riffer and Toybox Piano Roll on on top of that list.

If I finally decide to move up to and iPad Pro 12.9" I will then get the Riffer 2 iOS version.

Saw this video
Toybox - Piano Roll Introduction

It revived my interest in the Piano Roll.
If only the Piano Roll was sold separately!

You can buy it separately for a bit less than 50 bucks currently.
Just grab the synth bundle and delete all other blocks.
It should be worth it for you! :tu:
