Sorry for going a bit off-topic, but how does IK Multimedia's M-Poly (MonoPoly + Polysix) stand against Korg's own MonoPoly/Polysix? Just in case anyone has the IK one and considers it a good emulation. Not intending to go deep into any discussion here.

Did I read there is a fix for the Wavestation crash when selecting waveforms ? I'm still showing 2.0.0 in my account.

I own Syntronik but I'm not sure I have the M-Poly content. I'll have to check tomorrow as I rarely use Syntronik any longer. But of course it's sample based so a 1:1 comparison with the Korg versions will be difficult.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2020 5:00 am Sorry for going a bit off-topic, but how does IK Multimedia's M-Poly (MonoPoly + Polysix) stand against Korg's own MonoPoly/Polysix? Thanks for the reply. Yes, I agree. But was wondering if it is "good enough" to get the IK one since it a bit cheaper (considering both MonoPoly and Polysix are included) with JamPoints or if it goes on sale. You won't have M-Poly unless you have Syntronik Deluxe, though.Teksonik wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2020 5:07 amI own Syntronik but I'm not sure I have the M-Poly content. Wavestation, for sure, is the crown jewel of the pack.Muziksculp wrote: Mon Apr 20, 2020 10:01 pm Now that we have the new larger/scaleable GUI's , which one, or maybe two, of these Korg Synths do you like the most in terms of sonic quality, character, diversity of sounds ?

Mono/Poly is also really really interesting, with some terrific patches.

I agree. I used to have a Polysix and my brother the MS20 back in the day, but we never had any Mono/Poly. It was only when I got the Korg Legacy I realised what a gem Mono/Poly is.EvilDragon wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2020 7:47 am Mono/Poly is also really really interesting, with some terrific patches.

a great vst synth, like the polysix (seems underwhelming, but it is quite powerfull), and, i think i am in a minority, the ms-20 i have used a lot, with great pleasure. great sounding.EvilDragon wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2020 7:47 am Mono/Poly is also really really interesting, with some terrific patches.
the wavestation and m1, i never used (in tracks). i know they can do a lot. but when i opened the tiny gui's of mono/poly, polysix or ms-20, i was (and still am, but now with BIG gui's), and controlled them with 2 controllers, like hardware (bi-directional.. automap, yes!). the fun of making presets, the sound. i simply love them... love? is big word for a synth. or not?

No, it is an appropriately sized word, to say the least.WasteLand wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2020 8:05 am .... i simply love them... love? is big word for a synth. or not?

The size of the ZIP file (4507 KB) is too large to include in this thread as an attachment. Would anyone here be willing to provide an alternate online hosting facility?
