I won't upgrade till V5 comes out. I currently have V2 and am willing to wait till V5 hits the market. Hope it isn't too long.
I'm also looking into Live 10 in the meantime.

I'm wondering what they will do for this update. I can't think of anything at least big feature wise that I need from S1 right now. I don't need/want clips in S1. Version 4 added all the things that I personally need for my workflow.

Hopefully fine tuning of the GUI. Overhauling the included plugins would be great too.
Just like for you, there's really not much I would wish for, apart from that. But, I guess they have to offer something to make people update, so, I'm sure there'll be a couple of things.
That's the thing right? Some of us don't want it to be bloated, but they have to sell features for the new version.

If you go to page one of this thread or just simply click on the topic title, you will find the reference key shortcut templates for Studio One near the top of the page. If you are viewing the forum vie a TV or mobile device, you might still have an issue, so click on the \/ Enlarge \/ text to view the images. This should work as intended although I'm not sure why some images display and others don't, (perhaps it's a page cache issue) but anyone using a Mac / PC computer should be able to view everything correctly... The additional videos are static images which one just can simply load as if they were static. The video based versions are useful as you can use them as reference without clicking outside the program as well as being able to resize toggle to full screen and move the video window where you want it.simmo75 wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2020 6:02 pmNo new updates showing up here?THE INTRANCER wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2020 5:40 pm New updates today:
High resolution reference keyboard images added plus a new modern backlit glass lit like one.
Reference videos 10 seconds in length for each of them, so they can be opened within Studio One Pro's video. Video resolution for these are set at 2K. Minor tweaks and adjustments to the initial images were applied since the first keyboard reference images were uploaded.![]()

1. Better drag n drop support is needed badly!!! ( Ability to drag samples from S1 browser to programs like Mpc software that work on Mac, yet not on windows)
2. Better browser support, options, I'll say it again ( Options) for tagging our own samples properly.
3. Better Vst/Vsti manager ( Cubase 10 is league's better)
4. Better slicing audio functions, I have built custom macros for this myself, but it'd be nice to see Presonus have a slice audio to midi function like ( Ableton or Bitwig)
5. Better support for Drum/Pattern editing, allow clicking on steps to enter piano roll editor to tune/pitch samples.
6. Better UI refinements, better graphics and more color options just make it a better experience.
7. I hate control link! Bring true Midi to S1, the idea I can't right click n use midi learn on Synths that support it native yet Presonus doesn't support it, str8 up sucks. Kill that idea of starving us midi guys out, it's super old by now.
I'm sure I'll come up with more.

Things I think might come...apoclypse wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2020 7:01 pm I'm wondering what they will do for this update. Mojito, the 303 instrument clone will be updated to something more advanced.
Instruments & Effects will have their GUI's updated to reflect that of Impact XT, Sample One XT ect.
Previewing images whilst scrolling instruments and effects in the mixing console, like it is with the new Ampire in version 4.6.
Studio One's browser will be more re-configurable to users preferences and detachable.
A video preview timeline implemented to make sound to video work much easier.
Support for Surround Sound Formats and possibly new plugins that focus on that area.
An updated scratch pad system that allows you to drag and drop between a number of viewable scratch pads instead of just selecting one and being able to merge multiple scratch pads into one audio file to be exported and also be able to work independently. This opens the door to mix all your different elements together before transferring them to the main arrangement track, or to use Studio One in a live stage setting.
New audio routing and sound processing vie new effects within the multi instrument system is another possibility.
A refreshed and clearer GUI is something else I think might be there, with more tweaking options.

There are imho quite a lot things to finetune...
The Pattern editor could be improved a lot too ...
Better timestretch quality and more timestretch options like a resample/repitch mode is very badly missing...
A waveform image for the preview in the browser couldn´t harm neither...
I am pretty sure very soon will come up the MPE enthusiasts with their claim...
UI refinements I would like to see with i.e. the implementation of Folder events ... the looks of them is super super ugly and disappearing of the content with smaller track heights respectively with more content is a no-go behaviour for me...
I guess a GUI overhaul of the other instruments and fx plugins is very likely too to make the looks more uniform and getting closer to what they started with the instruments...
Overall I would like to see Presonus taking a step back from implementing new stuff and deeply start to refine of what´s already there
I second all of these... especially auto slicing quality and slice to midi, which was imho a very big oversight...trusampler wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2020 12:02 am ...

Ahh yes the waveform preview in the browser would be amazing!! X100 and if it's not too much to ask, a simple way to timestretch audio via that same preview area. I'd kill for that. I could eliminate all 3rd party browsers if they did that.

Could you please give a little more details about this? I don't know Ableton or Bitwig and had a quick look at YT searching for "audio to midi". So, basically it's drag&drop from audio files to Midi tracks and automated pitch detection.trusampler wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2020 12:02 am 4. Ok, this is one shortcut more in S1: mark audio clip, press CMD + M (for Melodyne) and then drag the clip to a Midi track. Done!
What did I miss? Or what are the extra benefits in Ableton/Bitwig?

Updates for this thread have been ongoing for over two years on page one... so if you've not been a regular here, you might not have picked up on what I meant... I design, and develop products for the KVR community as well as maintain what is like a huge but carefully crafted page for Studio One users primarily... but extends vastly into other creative art areas as well in the form of resources that one can discover and enjoy..simmo75 wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2020 4:39 pmErrr...THE INTRANCER wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2020 7:39 pmIf you go to page one of this thread or just simply click on the topic title, you will find the reference key shortcut templates for Studio One near the top of the page.
