The displays with all that visual bling bling is very confusing. Show me the same on the Logic screenshot.mholloway wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2020 6:14 pmlol, the difference is simply that the Logic screen has Two modulators, and the Bitwig screen has 24.chk071 wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2020 4:31 pm I wouldn't have anything against some modulators. They seem very interesting. Event though that Bitwig screenshot confuses the hell out of me. The Logic ones look far less all over the place.

Hopefully there'll be a new thread once v5 is out, so that it's about Studio One, and not the OP.gentleclockdivider wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2020 6:24 pm A feature so that studio one automatically notifies you when INTRANCER has updated his awesome Studio one thread .![]()

+1 that would be awesome.antic604 wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2020 3:44 pm I'd love to see them adding some device(s) that'd act as MIDI FX and would output stream of CC to be used further to modulate native devices' and VSTs' parameters.
In a nutshell, simplified modulation system from Bitwig...
...like what Logic Pro X has:

Yup agreed retrospective recording would be great too. There have been SO many times I played something and was like damn I wish I was recording that... and then lose the vibe/feel when I turn on recording.Serhii Kot wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2020 4:42 pm Modulators. I didn't know that I need them until I tried bitwig.
Also, retrospective recording.
The other thing I'd add in addition to modulators + retro recording is much better color presets and color picker UI for tracks. Something more like logic. Also let us define custom color sets too.
modulators + retro record + better colors would be a sweet update imo. anything else would be icing on the cake for me.

I just hope the next release tries to improve S1's poor MIDI implementation, or lack thereof. No poly aftertouch, no MPE, no List Editor, no 14-bit MIDI, no staff view, no MMC/MTC (lower priority admittedly), no sysex/NRPNs...does it do program changes? If you're trying to integrate MIDI hardware into S1, you're going to run into challenges doing so.

-Flexible and creative drag and drop modulation tools like in Bitwig.
-Possibility to add Post Fader effects.
-Composition and harmonization tools with drag and drop midi, like Tracktion Waveform 10. Improved chord track.
-Mix snapshots / a-b mixing comparison tool.
-Support for multi-input plugin routing.
-More "mix fx" models of consoles/tapes/etc...
-"Delete missing plugins from list" option in the plugin browser.

No one knows, and if someone does happen to know, they would have signed an NDA.
Since the last few updates have been mix oriented, im expecting version 5 to be geared more towards creativity/production tools.
They might also include tools and major improvements for working with video. I remember right before the launch of v.3.5, someone commented on an official studio one video on youtube about improving the workflow for sound/video. The Presonus channel responded saying that they're working on it. So i guess it's about time that they include these video workflow and implementation improvements to compete with protools.

Doesn't fit. It's not Ableton Live.

They will need to add more than this. Especially since the market is more songwriter/music producer based right now.grid warrior wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2020 3:09 pm
I would like to see a grid, push and clip launcher type mode along with their current linear design.

You will still buy it though, and you never know.chk071 wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2020 5:48 pm Out of experience, I would say that it's likely that the new features won't be groundbreaking.![]()
