It's a sheep thing?
Definitely overkill considering what the OP already has.

Post

What OP already have is overkill to start with, recommending anything else too, so dunno, maybe it's time to put that investment in good use and start making patches.

It might not be overkill if time is of the essence, and K12 U
was purchased for the long run, or if the music situation
changed after that purchase, and a product with a
higher percentage of consolidated useful presets is needed.

I went through Razor, Hive2 and Zebra2 pad presets earlier,
with the aid of their patch management putting them all together,
and found around 30 that would likely work as-is in many cases.
With some other keepers in the free and free-demo sets.

Going through all the K12 U products would take what? Around 30 hours?
But it should be done, to honor the purchase, even an hour a day
spread over a couple months would be time well spent :hyper:

I think the Korg M1 is
$40 on sale at the moment.
Cheers

Thanks this looks really good. I’ll have a listen tomorrow.

Out of curiosity what are people’s thoughts on Arturia Pigments 2 as a synth? I’ve just downloaded the demo and am going to give it a whirl when tomorrow.

Post

Was just thinking about Pigments 2.
Definitely give it a demo!
Maybe open up your Massive X too!

Check out Diva and Repro, if you are going for new synth, they at least got some amazing sound banks

Forget omnisphere, spend only 39 dollars and use your Kontakt....

This will get you the pads you need.
Now sing Halelullja

I currently own NI Komplete 12 Ultimate
omfg...

..
You probably already have the presets you are looking for in the NI Komplete, but you can't find them among the collection of vsts in there.

Buy Omnisphere.
It's way more accessible and straightforward, you'll have an endless amount of suitable pads and it's really easy to find them plus you'll have pretty much anything else covered plus future updates and presets for free.

Yes it may be expensive, but you'll have everything you need plus a lot more in one accessible tool.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I particularly like the sound of these suggested options :-

These sound like they will cover a lot of bases.

I would love OmniSphere but the lowest price I can find it for is $426 which is way more than I can afford at the moment.

I've been having a closer look at Arturia Pigments and I really like the overall sound of thise synth. I also love the layout of the interface and look's very clear and use friendly to use! There's also ton's of addon patches for it.
