Bose Soundwear..How do you like it?

I never thought I'd get one of these but just won an auction on Ebay for a good deal, so why not. I have a few Bose headphones so I'm not new to the Bose sound signature. For all you that use it, how do you like it? So if you have the volume to lets say 30%, just loud enough for you to hear it, can people from 5ft+ away hear it? Along with using them at home, I wanted to try using these at the office. My desk is in a corner and the nearest cube to me is about 8ft away. This person is a customer service rep who takes calls most of the day. I just don't want to cause a distraction.
