It simply is not, but you would not want to know why.
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

I haven't tried Cubasis yet, but am interested to hear about peoples experiences with it. Obviously there are no demos on iOS but the recent reviews of Cubasis 3 point to a lot of crashing, bugginess and so the recent ratings aren't very good.

For me, iOS, and especially Cubasis, is kind of a mixed bag. On the one hand, it certainly has potential to produce great things. But for me, having a normal 2018 iPad, it just gets sluggish after throwing a handful of AUv3 into it. Maybe an upgrade to an iPad pro would help. IIRC, it also depends on the amount of RAM available.
So for just jamming on iOS, i prefer Gadget a lot, which runs smooth with even a few more synth running. Can't really compare it to Cubasis though, because its a closed system.

It's not. The basic editing is not bad, but the included instruments are dreadful.
It's also been buggy for me (and apparently more so in the more recent version).

Same here, I mostly use my iPad for certain instruments since synths are so much cheaper for iOS. I also really like imaschine since it is super easy to sample your own recorded sounds. Sometimes I record some stuff in cubasis (no problems with V2) but it is not even close to working with a Laptop or PC.andi75 wrote: Thu Apr 23, 2020 4:03 pm For me, iOS, and especially Cubasis, is kind of a mixed bag. Well, it is good but Reaper is better in my experience. I have used both and I liked Reaper more advanced and the possibilities are phenomenal with the reaper. Of course, it is my own personal choice.
