If you could use only ONE for mastering & mixing your track, would it be Reason or FL?
Why would you choose the one over the other?

Neither one nor the other.
You should use a dedicated mastering suite like Wavelab.

Mastering or mixing? These are totally different processes, requiring totally different tools.
Note: if you are a beginner, don't even THINK of doing mastering yourself. Yet!
Regardless, it's not about the DAW, but about the plugins you use (they work everywhere)
and it's not even about the plugins, but about WHAT you do with it.
The person pushing the buttons and twisting the knobs is what makes the difference.
And we're all different, we have learned different workflows with the tools we prefer, they interact and influence each other. My favourite is not necessarily yours.
Judging on your posting history you're in doubt between these two hosts. You won't get straight answers from fools like us on the other side of the internet. You have to demo them both and make up your mind. DAWs don't have a sound, but do have a workflow. Full circle...

We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

I think the plugins and metering are more important than the software hosting it .enCiphered wrote: Thu Apr 23, 2020 11:11 am Neither one nor the other.
