Ok thanks, you've confirmed my suspicion. I've bought it so i'll still enjoy what it can do without worrying about what it can't do. Thanks for your reply.Smapti wrote: Thu Apr 23, 2020 1:53 pmYeah, you can indirectly automate the VST parameters by modulating Obscurium's parameters, but I don't think you can directly automate them. For me this isn't a problem since the point is to let Obscurium automate those parameters itself. If you need direct access to the VST parameters in a particular situation then you probably don't want to use Obscurium.Spring Goose wrote: Thu Apr 23, 2020 12:35 pmMy gripe with Obscorium is that it isn't possible to also automate the VST parameters in my host (Reason) or is it?Smapti wrote: Wed Apr 15, 2020 3:56 pm Pretty much everything by Sugar Bytes. Aparillo has already been mentioned; see also Obscurium, which is definitely unique. There's nothing else out there like it, especially when you use it to drive VST notes & parameters.
I am once again asking you for out-there, innovative software instruments and effects

Yes I agree. There are three options AFAIK:andi75 wrote: Thu Apr 23, 2020 8:25 am You can get some crazy stuff from structural morphing
http://www.zynaptiq.com/morph
Just demo'd it and still not sure if it fits the bill for me though
Melda MMorph (which I have)
Zynaptiq Morph
Output Portal (well, not really morphing, but along the same results...ish)
I think all three are good representatives of, in my opinion, the coolest of new musical expressions.

For the lazy ones
, here is a link to Portal: https://output.com/products/portal
Take a look at the video (1 min 30s long), it is really tempting and cool. Right now Portal is reduced in price (still not exactly cheap though, but I feel it's a high quality product).
BTW, another secret weapon of mine is Lynx by Xenobioz. It's just a subtractive synth, but easy to program, looks great, comes with over a thousand (!) presets and is free. What's not to like?

Jeez, me too! But Melda's free tool's great, runs anything, and any collection of found-foley and SFZ clips can make wild IRs.dandezebra wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2020 2:21 am I have been trying to get the Spirit Canyon IR sets for years!

Haven't used these myself but if you've got Logic, they seem…intriguing:

I have followed this guy for while, and he's got some wild Reactor and M4L stuff, as well as loops and samples:

And once you're looking at Reaktor stuff, look no further than in the User Library for Cal Scott, Rick Scott, Dieter Zobel.

One of the reasons for getting the ET Ultima bundle was so I wouldn't get lost in the Reaktor User Library for the next few months. Check out Slate and Ash Landforms
got a 10/10 on Computer Music mag. Autumn 2021 issue.
Very expensive.

Plus check out their other products.
They require Kontakt and so are not multi-touch capable.
