Ahh, gotcha

There will be plenty of nice features, there always are, only those wanting it to turn into Bitwig will be disappointed

There was that thread about Studio One which I created around 2000 though. It was the shit.

Yeah, let's keep it Studio One, not going for Bitwig. I already have both, and I like that both are different in workflow and features.
Mac Mini M4 Pro | 14 Cores (10P/4E) | 48GB RAM | Studio One | Reason | Bitwig Studio | Logic Pro | FL Studio | Cubase Pro | Waveform | Reaper | Renoise | ~1000 VSTs/AUs | ~350 REs

Yeh no need for Presonus to take good idea's from other daws, and make itself better. Lets just leave that for Behringer to do in their upcoming DAW. smh..

There is 72 new features / changes in total, and 28 of them is related to their plugins. Only 3 new things on workflow category and even they are like nothing. There is some useful stuff, but a lot of people will be disappointed. And no, I don't break any NDA, because I am not a beta tester and I have not sign anything. I just happen to know. You can believe it if you want or not. I don't care. Just hold your horses.
Judging from that, I'd guess 28 re-skinned plugins, a few browser improvements, more macro commands... a few preview enhancements, more soundsets, and things related to the mastering part of the program, a few changes to the console mixer and drum editors. Oh and stackable instruments like the Reason rack for Multi Instruments, not too dissimilar to the way the Fat Channel compressor rack works.... and that's probably version 5 of Studio One....If that's all there is, I'd be hard-pressed to justify paying full whack for that at their usual pricing....

I'll carry on developing what I can for the Studio One community in mean time.

If Logic is going to implement clip launcher, then be sure that S1 will follow :hihi: Maybe not in the coming update, but sure after that ;)

Anyway, I have learned to not put all my eggs in one basket! I just need to learn not to sell any basket at all!
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

I had a idea that they would work on the included plugins some weeks ago, so, if it's true that they update those, then well done Presonus. :)

Sure, I could predict some possible features. But in all honesty: Since my switch from Reason to Studio One 4 I don‘t miss anything feature-wise. As usual a little polish here and there wouldn’t hurt. But for the last 15 months it just worked without that „oh, if I‘d have...“. The only small annoyance (color selection) could be fixed with that nice little extension.

So l‘m happy and content for now and are looking forward to be surprised.

Of course not the same for everyone, but that's a well balanced take on things :tu:
I have no show stoppers, nothing that prevents me writing and recording, so I am also waiting to be surprised by extras and/or refinements. As with all updates, the big fear is if something breaks because of it, but that's just part of the software game.

Thank you 😊
You mean the largest, regularly updated, mature Studio One resource thread for adults anywhere on the internet ? Which has been regularly maintained for over 2 years.... In case you didn't know, this very thread your reading was merged with it until gentleclockdivider flew into a fit, started crying, rage quite from his computer, before spewing out a load of rubbish about me as he always does. He and a few others here are deeply envious of what I've managed to achieve, both on here and in life from what I've revealed. It makes them feel inferior. It's really sad, immature, and says a lot about these people and they don't even realise it.

Trolls hide behind anonymity, this forum has an existing mob culture forming... drawing people like yourself in, right into this thread, into their way of thinking. They are no different from school bullies in high school... It reminds me of my own school days standing up to these sorts of people on a daily basis 30 years ago for over 2 years, having to physically fight with them by foot and hand. 5 on 1 every few days... Standing up to them, giving them back as hard as what they tried to give me... They didn't ever win... Funny thing was that about 15 years ago when I saw them all at a night club or had just happened to knock on my door, that they were extremely friendly on meeting them again, but also scared that I might seek revenge...

But anyway, in these current times, I'm already forming an exciting range of things using and extending my skills as digital artist music producer surrounding Studio One, which may just happen to be highlighted in the other thread.

I'm happy there is this thread here though... even if the OP happened to be a banned one. :-D
Can you please get the f**k out of this thread? It's good enough without you, thanks.

Signed,

A lurker

Oh, and another question since the request for improved time stretching came up before: I have no experience with other current DAW’s except for Reason and Studio One. Time stretching in Reason was ok for me, in S1 it sometimes sounds a tad bit worse. But is it really that bad? Do Ableton or Cubase do better? I mean there are only few hq algorithms out there and iirc all major DAW’s have licensed them. So what’s the difference?

I think Ableton and Cubase (Also Logic with slice mode) keep the transient intact and stretch or shrink the rest of the waveform. Studio One stretches the whole waveform. So for example if you stretch kick or snare you get smeared transients just with very little tempo change.
