Well, the header says it all... almost.

I'm thinking it would be crazy to buy another reverb for more than 25 bucks (the standard sale price tag for Eventide, Waves etc nowadays). But Adaptiverb... it's soooooo tempting, and I've never seen it on sale before!

Is it as good in actual mixing as in the promo movie? And how versatile is it? I'm thinking: can it be used for standard vocals, for example (ie not new age thingies)? Or for an entire mix? Or is it only suitable for lush and super-clean spaces?

I don't need another reverb. Really.

:D

I was cured though when I saw the price tag. I never even paid that amount full price for a reverb. :) (Yes, I'm a cheapskate) I'm sure it's a nice one though.

All Zynaptiq plugins are really very bad coded. Unpredictable cpu hogs and almost zero updates. I recommend to try the demo first and see if your computer can handle Adaptiverb before you buy it.
Its over for Bitwig--CUBASE WON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, they're CPU intensive, but "bad coded"? They're actually sound exceptionally good, and you pay for that quality with your CPU or with offline rendering
What kinda updates do you personally need the most?

Post

I love Adaptiverb - all the Zynaptiq plugins I have are useful and very high quality.
But I dont use Adaptiverb for natural reverb, I use it more as an effect eg switching between the snapshots in the keyboard tracking mode for tuned washes

Post

Yes, bad coded because they crash more often than other plugins. Updates which improve the stability and performance, cross platform.

Never crashed once for me in Reaper - and shitloads of other plugins crash or hang Reaper

Post

I have never had a Zynaptiq plugin crash, they’re solid as fook!

Seems like a very rare problem. Work fine in Reaper, even in Live

It's my favourite reverb and I have a lot. Very good for ambient, worth it IMHO. Massive CPU hog though!

What do you think about Subspace? Sounds great too, but no controls at all (shame)

Seems like everything Zynaptiq do is "next level" - this is far beyond an ordinary algorithmic reverb. The CPU expense and sheer power of it doesn't make it a "go-to" for regular duties. But put one instance on an Aux channel and rename it the Magic Bus :D

This is the cheapest it's been. $88 if you know where to look ;)

Subspace is limited but sounds great and worth having.
It’s free but if you look hard enough you can pick it up from a seller here for $44 on the buy and sell pages... :dog:
