VSTs are working flawlessly here in Pro X5 trial.DaveClark wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2020 3:15 am
I have two issues so far after about one hour of testing of Pro X5 Trial.
1) When working with VSTs, the first thing that happens (every time Pro X5 Trial is launched) is that "Waiting for Shop" is displayed, followed by an unacceptable amount of delay before anything else can be done and before short plugin scan occurs. This does not happen with Pro X4. This new behavior is really annoying.
2) SampleTank4 VST3 transposes notes after Save/Load of a project just as it did for me with Pro X4. After one transposition, it appears that there are no further transpositions. VST2 works fine. I believe that this is not a SampleTank problem, but rather a Pro X4/X5 problem.
Anyone else have either of these problems? Thanks in advance.

Dave Clark

Thanks guys, but I'm asking specifically whether or not others are seeing "Wait for Shop" before short plugin scan after each launch of Pro X5 and about ST4 VST3.

There is a bug in Samplitude ProX5 regarding Spectralayers at the moment.

Mpe editing is really great, perhaps, one of the best out there!

Does anyone know if the Spectralayers is the full program and can be used with other DAWs? Seems like a no brainer as the upgrade cost to X5 is less than what a new license for Spectralayers costs, so I would upgrade just for that if I can use it in other DAWs.

Out of curioustity, what is the upgrade cost to Suite?
I expect this is the full version of Spectralayers, as with Sound Forge.
I'm guessing that Magix gave Spectralayers to Steinberg with the agreement they could include it in this version of Samplitude.
Either way, it's a hell of a deal.

SpectraLayers Pro 6
Full version $299.99
at Steinberg site
On sale by Steinberg does it go for $150?
https://new.steinberg.net/spectralayers/
and when SpectraLayers Pro 7 is released you get it for free if you purchase the Samplitude Suite.
When might SpectraLayers Pro 7 be released?
This can be used with any DAW?
BTW it is ARA (2?) capable.

I dont know for X5, but it was for X3/X4 so I absolutely expect it to be.Rick4001 wrote: Mon Apr 27, 2020 12:16 pm Does anyone know if the Spectralayers is the full program and can be used with other DAWs?
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

I hope that the SpectraLayers Pro 7 will have more creative and sound design capabilities.
But then for me I would rather have SpectraLayers Pro within Cubase.
If the ARA 2 is fully implemented with multi track support I may just go that way!
