Hi,
I'm new to the forum and pretty new to recording on my computer and using samples. I'm wondering if anyone has any good samples of a afuche-cabasa. Specifically I'm looking for a sample that has a similar sound to the one in "Paranoid Android" by Radiohead. I'm having a hard time finding the words to describes the quality that the afuche-cabasa has but so far a lot of the cabasa samples that I've found online are thinner and more like a shaker.
Thanks in advance,
Nick

Hey, just a coincidence!
For a while I've been consider to share the cabasa track from my previous recording.
So now I'm chopping the samples and will map them in sfz format.
Though it may not suit what you want to find cause it was played in shakers manner, just forward and backward, but I will just share it free here in next couple of hours.

It's completely free to use in free or commercial works
Samples were recorded last year, played by a friend percussionist ;
Direct mic SM57 > Neve 1073 preamp > ProTools 11
24 bit 48kHz Flac
11 MB, 250 rough/unprocessed samples
2 articulations : backward & forward
125 random/round-robin
Original format : ARIA SFZ
p.s.
If anyone want to host this, just let me know
*Edit
Just got a confirmation from the rec. engineer, Neve preamp was used. Chandler was for other instrument

Wow kinwie,
you are unstoppable! 125 round robins? Wow
In terms of hosting:
You could upload it to the Pianobook.co.uk project.
Another option would be the Freepats repository which is very well maintained.
And of course the Sfzinstruments Github repository mentioned by DSmolken in the other thread (I haven't yet uploaded your other mappings). I guess this would be the best solution, since we have direct access and control via our KVR friend and SFZ eminence DSmolken. But it's your choice of course.
P.S. Can't wait for your SFZ version of David's CP70
