Actually, from what I hear, it's currently in beta or alpha or something. I have no doubt it'll be coming out. Synapse makes some great stuff. I own 3 of their synths. In fact, they are one of my favorite synth makers along with u-he and Tone 2.

It definitely exists and is very usable and stable. I'm sure Richard just wants to give it enough time to decide on the final features and get as much feedback as possible from beta testers through any changes. Though I agree there's not much point speculating on the price if someone doesn't know the features.

Oh I'm fully aware of all of this. It's just been in beta for a while now and many people in this thread seem to be on the beta team, but there's still no indication of when it will come out, and some of us have been eager for a while now.

Synapse-Audio May think it’s a pretty shitty time to release a new instrument. How to price something when so many people have lost there incomes, I wouldn’t be surprised if they wait quite some time.
Maybe they’ll release it as freebie to boost peoples morale during this pandemic...

Oh I'm fully aware of all of this. It's just been in beta for a while now and many people in this thread seem to be on the beta team, but there's still no indication of when it will come out, and some of us have been eager for a while now.

im sure SA are as keen as anyone to get it released , so they can recoup the money they have spent developing it. When it's ready, it will be released.

Why? you realise that alot of people has lost their jobs.

If you have followed the news, many djs/live performers dont have income from gigs in upcoming 4 months the least, because of disalowing any shows till september in countries that organise those big festivals where majority of electronic musicians perform Belgium, Netherlands, Germany. Not only that, but you cannot travel from your designated country due to quarantine.

I myself as artist lost quite a number of gigs which is my income and i have to live from savings. Even event organisations that were booking month ago for September, October, November, December indoor events are backing off now till 2021. Not only that, but you also loose possible income for copyright when your tracks are played publicly at events.

And this is just from artist perspective, now think of people who build those stages, take care of sound at those festivals, catering, bookings managers, artists managers and whole music industry infrastructure.

Its not really the most ideal time to release new products.

I think your mistake is to view it all from a artist's perspective. Not everyone who buys audio software is a professional artist (actually... I would even think the least are).

Anyway, for most people who are used to hardware prices, 100 - 150 € is a total joke. It's also a total joke when you consider the money you have to earn to make a living.

But if you lost your job you are in odds of having one because of competition from other people who has lost their job, so even if you have money and if you understand that your survival is first, you dont have full support from the goverment, that 100 eu can be alot because of uncertainty. I dont think you are looking at the bigger picture in general.

Also increased amazong sales are because - you cannot go and buy in stores because of quarantine, so you are forced to buy things online and lets be real you dont know if they are buying music making gear. Id expect a TV or gaming console or something else that keeps them entertained.

Well synapse knows its customer base better.

Most companies can't afford to take a break. To not release a SW product due to covid would be illiterate.
