So Melodyne comes included to Studio One? Is it included also in the Artist version or only in the Professional?

On the Studio One page they say: Artist (& Professional) comes with 5 virtual instruments - what are those instruments?

What is the biggest advantages for Professional? Melodyne naturally if it’s not included to Artist...

Artist does not include Melodyne. Professional includes Melodyne Essentials.

Celemony offers an upgrade path from Melodyne Essential that saves you $100, which is the retail price of Essential. You can use your Melodyne license from Studio One Pro to qualify for the upgrade. I would recommend the Melodyne Essential to Editor upgrade.

How does Melodyne compare with other options like ReVoice Pro or maybe Antares AutoTune?

Melodyne is better for graphical mode and manually moving notes. It sounds more natural. Also you can’t use it to record live, it’s a tool for post production only. If you want more of the T-Pain/Travis Scott effect or for tuning in real-time I would get Antares.

I have Melodyne Assistant, Antares Autotune Artist and Wavestune Real-time. I tend to use Melodyne and Antares together the most, but I produce a lot of electro pop and hip hop where the Antares treatment is needed. Waves tune real-time is comparable (ish) to Antares, but has a bit more subtlety. It’s also a great (and more affordable) option, but I feel Antares is more powerful and has more perimeter to play with that Autotune effect sound.

I use Melodyne and Antares in combo on some level for majority of my vocal mixes. Wavestune RT in place of Antares if I want real-time tuning with a different flavor or more subtlety. If I had to choose one I personally would go with Antares, but that’s also very specific to the style of music I produce.
