Hello everybody
I need some tool to arrange 3 audio tracks
I am looking for free/demo DAW with a single mouse click scissors/split tool and hand tool
I tried Ardour but it isn't stable, demo version of Cubase LE 10 for example is to heavy for me while Ableton doesn't have that option.
Anything else?
Thanks

Reaper you can pretty much map whatever to whatever.
I make music: progressive-acoustic | electronica/game-soundtrack work | progressive alt-metal

It does - select zero-length time in lower half of the clip and hit E
Bitwig as well - switch to knife tool using '5' and then click on clips to cut them.
Reasont too - switch to razor with R and click away

I have Reaper setup so that I point the mouse where I want the split, press S and it is done. I dont have to click the mouse, just hover over the place

In Bitwig you don´t even have to switch... press and hold the "5" key, make your cut´s and let go the "5" key which goes back the tool you´ve selected before... very easy and intuitive to use!!
Reaper´s mouse modifiers are very nice too and would be even better if you would have a visual feedback (i.e. scissor mouse cursor in this case) and a crosshair wouldn´t harm neither...
These are beside Reaper´s flexibilities all these little weaknesses it´s got... great idea and start... weak finish...in one word: Reaper!!

Alt + Click in Cakewalk splits anything under the cursor. If Snap is enabled, it snaps. Snap can be enabled not only by note value, but also by any number of Ticks.
