Besids the advantages you already posted above the plugin will have several advanced/additional features not found in a real OB-Xa or the upcoming Behringer clone.e-crooner wrote: Tue Apr 28, 2020 6:08 pm I am pretty sure I will prefer the plugin. Cheaper, more reliable, as many instances as required, no cables and space required...
Not to forget that the plugin should include a quite big amount of presets and all of those additionally also as NKS presets for the NI Komplete Kontrol software and hardware controllers.

I don't know the Behringer, who knows, maybe it will have effects as well. I think some recent analog hardware synths have digital effects as well.Ingonator wrote: Tue Apr 28, 2020 7:14 pmBesids the advantages you already posted above the plugin will have several advanced/additional features not found in a real OB-Xa or the upcoming Behringer clone.e-crooner wrote: Tue Apr 28, 2020 6:08 pm I am pretty sure I will prefer the plugin. I have the DM12 and the Ody, they both have excellent fx (TC Electronics)
There is room for both hardware and software instruments (if there hadn't been hardware there would be nothing to 'clone'
). So pro's and con's for both (I think this has been discussed before on KVR
) it was just a bit of fun as people are waiting on both with wallets open!
I actually have the B Model D and Synapse Legacy...proof in point!

Stupid question but will it have all the classic sounds from the big hits of the 80s that were done on an OB-X?Ingonator wrote: Tue Apr 28, 2020 7:14 pmBesids the advantages you already posted above the plugin will have several advanced/additional features not found in a real OB-Xa or the upcoming Behringer clone.e-crooner wrote: Tue Apr 28, 2020 6:08 pm I am pretty sure I will prefer the plugin. The funny thing is that that Jump sound could really come from synth XY...
Not really a Oberheim special...
That Rush sound (which I never heard before) sounds much more specific.

Concerning advanced features of the plugin i am not just talking about effects. So far I am not allowed to talk about details concerning those advanced features.e-crooner wrote: Tue Apr 28, 2020 7:20 pmI don't know the Behringer, who knows, maybe it will have effects as well. Apples AND oranges is exactly it! Why not both right?
[Looks around room for space. Can probably fit the UB-Xa on top of one of the electric pianos...]
