just moved sfzformat instruments section to https://sfzinstruments.github.io/
I think I'll need some feedback and some help to add new/missing instruments there

No problem. Since those are mappings for libraries hosted at Pianobook.co.uk, I guess we should forward them to their site first when they are finished.kinwie wrote: Wed Apr 29, 2020 5:54 pm Wait...
Just got an idea for The King's and Kawai Felt pianos, to add a fast response option using the soft pedal cc.
Will update them tomorrow
One question about the Gregjazz Xmas Bass mapping: there is a separate "Regions" folder. Can those settings implemented into the main SFZ file or do they need to stay separate?

Hey NTO,
would you like your mappings to be included in the SFZinstruments Github repo as well?

I think it could be better keep the sfz files uncompressed on GH, so they can be updated. I think the mapping can be downloaded all at once with the zip/tar.gz feature there, what do you think?

Yeah, uncompressed is good - musicians probably want to download a zip and have everything at once, but that's easy from Github especially if we have a page with friendly links for all later. Developers might want to make their own versions or just look up how something was done so they can try it with their own instrument, and for them (well, us) uncompressed is more convenient.

It was my usual mapping habit for large library, where we can inject very lot of values from the top (global header) to <master> to <group> until <region>, using the #include and #define. Aria/sforzando is insanely powerful for such things that we can fix things at "sample-level" from several <global> pointing to one region-map.
So that's why it has folders to keep those #include files.
And that's make the sfz programming much much easier and lot faster for large libraries, and possibly make the samples loading much faster.
But for mappings I newly created and put here, yeah I made a "one/single sfz file" version

Yep, I agree and thanks for the constructive feedback. I will just exchange the compressed zip for the new consolidated mapping in the Gregjazz Xmas Bass directory. Makes it easier for the hobbyist user to just deal with one file, rather than expecting them to deal with additional files and folders (the initial version of Gregjazz Xmas Bass mapping contained an additional "regions" folder - in case anyone here doesn't know what I'm talking about).

Yeah, but I will always prefer the modular sfz with those include-files. Because there'sKazi7 wrote: Thu Apr 30, 2020 9:54 am ... for the new consolidated mapping in the Gregjazz Xmas Bass directory. more overview and transparency. In case you want to change something - even as a
hobbyist user - you can be much faster with these perfect include-versions.

Updated these ;
Kawai Felt Piano :

The King's Upright :

* Soft-pedal cc67 is a toggle for faster response (on/off) and you can just press the left pedal of sforzando
And this ;
Sol's Piano :

*edit :
Re-upload The Kings Upright, just a little bit change, using #define for sustain pedal value (used by pedal noise samples) for easier to change by user when needed
