Bx sounds more akin to my OB-6 than Diva (but both are darker and can’t get fizzy or resonant or as lush in the same way). I finally bought it for $25. Waiting most eagerly for the Ob emulation in development by another company.

yeah keen to hear the Synapse Oberheim.

anyone know of any 3rd party preset banks for Oberhausen?
I've discovered...

UP bass presets
https://www.ultimatepreset.com/product/ ... s-presets/

Luftrum 22
https://www.luftrum.com/luftrum22/

does anyone know how to load 3rd party presets in bx_oberhausen on OSX?
I tried putting the free UP bass folder in "/Library/Audio/Presets/Plugin Alliance/bx_oberhausen", but the patches don't show in the plugin. AHH, i see... need to place in the root folder, that's gonna get messy.

I'm probably missing something but struggling with all PA VSTs from an update point of view

How can you tell the current installed version ? I'm trying to work out whether downloads online are more up to date or same as already have

This is a good question I wonder about, too.

How does this work, guys?

My impression is that there comes one update in a year or something like this and then several plugins get update. This it seems to me. Some time ago I got an email from pa and then in the uodate app several plugin updates showed up as far as I remember.

I am looking so very much forward to an updated Oberheim you cannot imagine.

Pa seems to put all power into new plugins. In case of Oberheim this is a bad decision because it is useless in vst3 as I have posted 5 million times

From the preset page on the GUI, select File (at the bottom) and Import. Select all the sounds from the bank and import. Back on the preset page you can filter by Bank to just see the UP presets.

is anyone else getting CPU spikes from the latest version of bx_oberhausen?
last week i was getting spikes when the VST3 GUI was open, so i started using the VST2.
Now I get CPU spikes whenever the GUI is CLOSED.
This is so frustrating.

does anyone know if the previous version installers are located somewhere i can download?
v1.2 i had no problems with.

These CPU spikes seem to be happening with ALL my updated Brainworx Plugin Alliance plugins.

I have had some odd cpu spikes with GUI open

I couldn't have Massive X and Oberhausen open at same time was getting horrible crackles etc

Post

yeah not sure, i restarted and still had the issue, but after another restart it seems to be back to normal. looks like it's obviously my machine or surely there would be other people piping up about it?

Oberheim ist Buggy Like shnizzle

Post

what kind of bugs are people experiencing?

i had some MIDI timing issues the other day, triggering oberhausen with Phrasebox, i'll be testing tomorrow to see if i can get to the bottom of this.

Post

I haven't met any bugs with Oberhausen (only in my garden)…

In cubase vst3 the sustain Pedal and the modwheel doesnt Work. In vst2 opening the effexts does introduce Major graphics Bug.
Pa die Tell ne that this will be solved in the next update

Post

Love the sound but the CPU usage is among the highest of any plugin I own....

Quality takes its toll.
