Here's mine. I was initially going to use Massive X, but I actually started a few different ones, and the one that gave me the most impetus to finish it was done with AAS Ultra Analog 3, so that's the one I went with.

I was going for some kind of abstract cinematic sound. I did not get a chance to finish and polish the track because of work and poor time management. Im super pissed. Anyway its what I have. Dune came with a nice kick and snare, i made the rest. How I made the birds is shown in the video link below

Used 48 instances of DUNE 3 by synapse audio in Reaper 6.

Well then, here's my entry for OSC 134. Could have tinkered with it for another month, probably. It was supposed to grow up be a Bossa Nova, but it got abducted by aliens. Returned just as happy, though. So, here goes:

IL Harmor (44), Eventide Tverb (2), Eventide 2016 reverb (2), Hornet MultiCompPlus Mk2 (3), D16 Repeater (5), Limiter No6 (3), ReaControlMIDI (8), JS stereo width, Js filter, Youlean Loudnes meter

All patches designed ( or fluked

) from scratch using randomly generated wavetables and subtractive synthesis. & Those imaginary birds were fun to do !

Hi All, I was glad to see the "Any Synth" for OSC 134 as my old XP machine crashes with many of the synths. But I was able to chose one that doesn't tax the CPU too much...

My Submission - Anthropic Sentience

Synth: Wiggle - by 2nd Sense Audio, ~40 instances

I bought this synth for like $10 USD and tbh i think i barely scratched the surface of the sound design capability of this thing.

Commercial Plugins

Sonimus Channel Strip - used on drum bus. makes the timbre more realistic and honestly i just wanted to try something new. could have done same with Logic vintage EQ and compressor models.

Izotope 's Neutron2 exciter on the drum bus, but tbh its so small; just used to brighten up the output of the Sonimus CS. i always wanted this plugin bad but tbh prefer the STA Enhancer

FX

All reverb, delay, distortion, phasing, choral, stereo FX, sequences, arps, and filtering done in plugin. i used no external reverb or creative FX. But i paid for it in CPU usage...

All other FX were Logic native plugins used for mixing the track. Lim No.6 on mastering duties (oh except i used OTT instead of Logic's multiband)

Synth nerd stuff
Wiggle is a super powerful soft synth but tbh it was the most heavy CPU synth I've ever messed with. I wonder if its because I used its FX instead of sends. Has lots of inspiring presets to learn how it works.

Went with Zebra 2, so that I could finally get to know it a little bit. Unfortunately, I've been super busy with work, so this ended up being a bit of a hurried effort. The track turned out super differently than anything I've ever done before, and strayed into genres I don't really know how to compose for, so I think there's an inevitable stiffness to it, but it was a fun experiment.

Zebra's great. I look forward to using it again.
