I have SO many Sylenth soundsets and I want to condense my favourite sounds into a bank of my own creation.

This means inserting fxp files as well as cutting out single presets form fxb files.

Does anyone have any experience in doing so?

I like it makes alot of sense to optimise you workflow and help you move closer to a more consolidated style if you have what you want at your fingertips.

Thanks guys

Both Minihost and Cantabile Lite can do it, and both are free. I prefer Cantabile and have done Sylenth bank out of FXPs so know it works.

I have used the Preset manager in Tobybear MiniHost for that:

Thank you for both of your suggestions. I am on MAC OSX though. Why is this such a seemingly complicated thing to do haha?

bump for an answer for Mac OSX users. I'm very curious as well. =)

I don't see, why you need an external "presets manager" program? Just load your banks, save the presets you like in a folder, then when finished load all of them in sylenth1 and save them as a "favourite sounds" bank.

And? Any outcome?

I have 500 presets that i want to make into 1 bank. LOL.
I want to have a quick way instead of doing it one by one, that one is sloppy.
Eat my shit.

I just tried this, and it worked for me (unless I am missing what you want exactly):

Go to Menu, Bank, Clear, click OK.

Then Menu, Preset, Load, and then you can click-drag around a whole bunch of presets to select them with your mouse (from whichever location) and it loads them into the cleared bank that you can save afterward.

If there are presets in banks you want to add to a new bank, you'd need to save those out of the banks one at time first though.

This thread is ancient, did S1 not have a patch manager in 2012, yet?

Post

This might be a subject for a new thread; synths without a patch manager. I bet there are many that don't function as easily as Toby Bear's Minihost. I can get along OK in most plugins with a little creativity anyway, so it's not a huge deal for me.

I read that Spire will be getting a new update in that department soon.
