Hi,

I have an app that I wrote that allows you use the PC keyboard to play MIDI in every host. Let me know if you are interested in beta testing.

Id definitely be interested. you can pm or email me, if you like. Would be a nice prog if it works for every host, and can easily be setup.

Mully? Haven't we been able to do that in Tracktion for over a year? (with M-Key)

Yes you can record the MIDI notes. It basically acts like a MIDI input device in your host. I'll email you the details.

It works in every host, because it acts just like a MIDI input device. The app itself is very easy to set up. The only tricky part is installing MIDI Yoke to create the virtual MIDI cable it needs to communicate with the host. There are other apps like it, but what is unique about mine, is that you don't have to switch the active application in order to trigger the MIDI notes. That means you can keep your host as the frontmost app while trigerring MIDI notes with your keyboard. Which means you can use the mouse to tweak knobs etc in VSTi's while playing notes. I'll email you the app and details.

I'm curious about this as I have considered the Mbox in the past, but everyone keeps saying how the MIDI implementation in PT sucks. However, there is a new version out (6.7) that apparently have some significant updates for MIDI.

Anyone running 6.7 know how it is?
