I'm wondering if there's any DAW's that can rewire like Ableton and Reason does?
I was hoping that Reaper would but it will only work w/ Ableton as the slave.
The ultimate goal would be having a stable environment to host plugins and then rewire the audio into Ableton the same as you can w/ Reason prior to v11 or whatever.
Thanks!

You really should solve problems at their root cause. You have plugins not being stable in Ableton Live.
- notify the plugin developer of the issue. Live is a popular daw, so he might be willing to fix it.
- notify Ableton about the issue. Something might be structurally wrong in Live causing issues with multiple plugins
- look for replacement plugins that are stable and don't crash in Live.

Yeah. I've been down that road before and it's a deadend and a one-way street.
Reaper seems to work well at hosting plugins but I would have to have Ableton as a slave to Reaper.
I probably need to debug and optimize my computer more too but so far that hasn't helped much either. I still have random crashes.
I may have to get with the plugin devs since Ableton can't really help with a product that they're not a part of. Also, the devs are normally more responsive.
At one point I got a bsod log to try and figure out what's going on there.
I seem to recall it being something to do w/ CUDA GPGPU.

If anybody else has had issues with there DAW and CUDA GPGPU issues lemme know.
Also, if this isn't the best place to be asking these type of questions and you know of a better forum I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!

One big cuda thread:

For attention to your specific problem, better have the troublesome plugin name in the thread title.
