YT suggested this to me and actually it's pretty good overview of most available options:

Verdict? Surprisingly it's neither Bitwig or Reaper :x :hihi:

There is now, and never will be, a ‘best’ DAW for everything and everybody.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Is there a new DAW coming out this year I've not heard of? ;)

That's what he says, too. And I obviously agree. He gets a lot of things wrong, but captures the 'core' of each DAW pretty well. That's why I posted it :)

Big Logic update on the way (apparently), couple more Bitwig updates this year...Live 10.5? lots still to come...long way to go!

It’s a good overview of DAWS with a bad title!

I disagree when he mentions that there isn't as many resources for learning Studio One, there are literally hundreds of videos by a range of users on youtube, covering it's range of features, not to mention the amount of online article material that covers it, vie magazines, websites and blogs...
KVR S1-Thread | The Intrancersonic-Design Source > Program Resource | Studio One Resource | Music Gallery | 2D / 3D Sci-fi Art | GUI Projects | Animations | Photography | Film Docs | 80's Cartoons | Games | Music Hardware |

covid-19 may change release dates - although software is easy to work on from home

The best DAW is the one you haven't bought yet
Signatures are so early 2000s.
