Still working on things, but rest assured the technically hard stuff is all done :)

I've been busy getting a new development machine up and running on both windows and mac, had to fix a few little bugs The Drop and The Glue, as well as updating the installers to support the latest security measures on mac and win - which will be finished by the end of next week, then back to full time finishing off The Scream.
I hope a finished The Scream is near now.

Looking forward Andy

Hello, it would be nice if the plugin could have 4 inputs / 4 outputs, quadriphonic scream.
That's one of the advantages of software to be able to do crazy effect chains...

The end is in sight! I’ve updated all the installer scripts and code signing certificates for mac and win and I’m putting together maintenance builds of The Drop and The Glue, then back to the final release of The Scream, which consists mainly of the randomisation panel, and updated easy panel to use stepped knobs instead of the current combo boxes.

Excellent! I fired up The Scream the other day and wondered how the updates to final were going.

The Glue, The Drop, The Scream... in eurorack, would be phenomenally cool.
...Just sayin :)

as someone w/a large eurorack system i think it'd be a waste of Andy's time.

you can get an SSL type compressor in a few different formats.. 500 series, 19in rack, X-rack... and the drop would be very complex to implement in any kind of reasonable way even w/slimmed down features.. there are _numerous_ eurorack filters and modulators you could patch up for all kinds of filter mayhem.

developing a hardware device for a format like eurorack is a long road to go down. not saying cytomic couldn't do it but it would be a huge time suck from his other duties. even going digital and making a digital module would be a blackhole. eurorack has gotten quite popular but it's still niche and the margins suck.

besides... cytomic stuff sounds so good.. who needs a hardware version?

I was just saying it would be cool, not suggesting he do it. Although you might be surprised at
what he might find interesting and worth while. Designing actual circuitry is not really so different
from the math and programming he obviously enthusiastically pursues. Fundamentally its just
a different medium, the logic and math still apply.

not disagreeing w/any of that. I'm sure anything Cytomic does is going to be awesome. I just know pretty well how module design goes especially someone doing it a first time. designing, prototyping, building, releasing, shipping, supporting... ugh. it's a lot of work. especially when you have to account for 10+ different power supplies etc. eurorack is still kinda the 'wild west' when it comes to specs and standards.

Hey - is the price final or will it go up when it's out of Beta?

The price will stay the same :)

I think the best fit for eurorack would be The Glue, being able to run your outputs through The Glue to smooth out levels and make things stick together better I think would be really useful, as long as the cost was low enough (otherwise you may as well just use analog). It would need to be at least 88.2 khz processing, otherwise you'll be losing too much analog goodness.

Digital processing will add latency, and then you break what eurorack is best at, being able to feedback any signal to anywhere else to create resonance paths between various modules, but The Glue will usually be at the end of the chain, so it's not so much of an issue. I love eurorack filters that have an external patch point for their resonance path so you can do this easily, but most cascade filters will allow for this anyway. This is the same thing people do with their mini moogs.

Will there be a way to import presets/starting points into Logic?

Thank you Andy, hopefully you can make it happen before 2020 ends. In need of more positive news.
