Depends what you define as 'punk', but even at that time it was a rarity. Probably more rare was him using a Hammond Organ.

nope for sure, its what made them stand out from other punk acts, meaning they had a few singles even your mum likedForgotten wrote: Mon May 04, 2020 5:58 pm I don't think the Stranglers would ever have made it that big without his contribution to the sound.

Only ever saw them once (on the Feline tour). Don't know why as I had so many other opportunities and didn't go. They were a great live band.

I worked on the first Loch Lomond festival in 1979.. they were headliners on the Saturday night..
the fireworks were ..
explosive as was the band.
