Any word about the expansions?

Are they worth it / bring something new/different to the table against general use of the plugin?

They are basically like presets for synths. I would get them only as a part of bundle (either new bundle purchase or upgrade).

However, if you like one or two particular Expansions (e.g. ABW Airlift is awesome), you could get them from Time+Space using your loyalty points.

I'm thinking about Portal, it seems there's only one Expansion available - Chaos.
I see no bundle, only the whole Output bundle which is priced at 500€ for me.
What do you exactly mean. This is the Portal thread

Anyway I can get the Expansion also for 35% off on their site, so 22€ instead of 35€.
It looks like the sale is priced the same on T+S and PluginBoutique and I don't know any other resellers having the sale. So will probably buy on PB to get some reward points.

What I'm personally interested in is synced stutter/delay etc. effects from vocals and synths. Not sure if chaos is the right expansion for it since it sounds, well chaotic - but on the other side, more presets are always better and may have more creative possibilities

Yeah, but on T+S if you have loyalty points and can escape VAT by using GBP as currency, you will get it much cheaper.

I hope Chaos suits your needs. More presets are definitely useful for such plugins, although I feel the factory presets (250) cover a good variety and with some tweaking you can expand on the results. But this is certainly the best price to get it, so...

No escaping VAT at T+S, they detect my origin country (Germany) and will always add VAT in the last step
Anyway, as I registered I could get a 5€ loyalty instantly. Also buying I will get more loyalty and may save another 5€ on the presets. Not a bad thing.
Will play with it and see if I'll buy Chaos by the end of the week (sale runs till Monday in a week)

Okay, I understand. Yes, exactly. I like the T+S points system. AFAIK, there is no minimum order value for using them.

My G.A.S. target has exceeded a typical Black Friday.

So, after playing it for some minutes and going through the presets. This is really one of the outstanding plugins of the last few years. Sound quality wise and creativity wise.

It's really fun to study the presets, as each one is special.

Probably will get the expansion. Will test drive more the next days.

Processing a drum groove with a custom preset in Portal, tweaking the installed Macros on the fly.

Huge feature request: please allow for time signatures other than 4/4, as it is now 1 bar in Portal always means 1 bar of 4/4 and the step sequencers only allows for 16 steps, so one can't even create a tempo-synced granular groove in 3/4, not to mention 5/8, 7/8 or any other odd time signature.

So 3/4 is possible with setting Retrigger to 1/2 dotted.
