Oh, now it's a great OP!

As to DAWs... there are tools, and there are toys. While people may have fun playing with toys, eventually you need to get down and polish the production with maximum precision and feature set available. This is where large, complex but well-organized DAWs come in and you can't just throw them away.

Another view on that... the fact that you have fun making music, doesn't mean that anyone else will enjoy listeining to it. This is where the term "production" origins from. It's not just a fun-time activity, it's precise and laborous process of delivering high-quality product which will hit the charts.
And yes, you may want to do that, as the music market is already overcrowded and no one has time to listen to subpar "fun" projects.

yup much better op.

interesting. much like music2000 though, the failing here will come from lack of input options.
it does seem a little better in that you can record input, whereas music was all drawing notes in the piano roll.
and soundwise there does seem to be more options if not sound quality improvements (the quality was good on music2k imo).

but yup, different interfaces can encourage more people to enjoy making music :)
they can also encourage us more experienced users to try new things.
i really like the look of the metasurface type thing here, with the differemt colours in the square represemting different fx :tu:

and the cables on his synth are the best cables ive seen in software! seriously 8)

may have to take a look at this, thanks for the headsup :tu:
