I purchased the evil fish vst for ableton years ago.
I just upgraded my operating system to windows 10.
I have the original installer. I tried running it, but nothing happened. I tried placing the file in the ableton "packs" folder, where it used to reside. I was able to get the max evilfish sequencer to work, but I cant get the multi-sampled instrument devices to work. Its like they are missing the samples. I do have all the samples, I think.

In the installer file there is " Ableton Folder Info" "Ableton Project Info" "Clips" "Lessons" "Max Midi Effects" " samples" "sounds" " And " desktop" - configuration settings. So it looks like its all there.
Of coarse I'd love to get it working with windows 10. I dont have the funds to upgrade right now.
Is there any hope for getting my evil fish up and running?
Thanks
Brian

well, for a start, its not a VST, so that's just going to muddy the waters, im afraid.

Never heard of evil fish. Got a link?
EDIT:

Looks like its no longer available from Sonic Faction. Maybe it doesn't work with Live10 ... it was released in 2015. Have you tried dropping the entire folder into your Places folder in Lives Library? That usually works for me.

I guess its a "Live Pack" . Not a VST.
I did put it all in the Live Library. And I tried putting into the live "packs" folder, user library, etc...
All the other live packs I re-installed worked fine.
I can find the hundreds of 303 samples used for the devices. And the devices are there too. Its like the links between the devices and the samples is broken. I poked around all over the devices, and through Live, but ...nothing. In fact, there are few controls on the multi sampled instruments. I'm surprised I cant go into the instrument and see the samples, like the regular sampler devices. The max patch sequencer works fine. Just not the multisampled 303 devices.

Usually when samples are missing when you load a device Live gives you the option to search for the missing files. The samples may need to be in the same folder as the device itself ... in the Places folder.
