They say they used some help/resources from melda, they are a union fo plugin developers is how they present them selves . As the settings, GUI properties etc. There are some guys here and GS that post as devs you can find them with a simple search. I have no big complains about melda but united plugins I'm waiting to make my conclusions.

Same here. It's great tool (not collector's item) and easy to generate certain fx with it.

Don't you guys find the reverb even with compression off very legato and loud? To me the reverb sounds very thick and present and that can't be changed with the mix knob, with extreme filtering i was able to get some nice sounds but again it is really weird to what it does, it seems early reflections are too long and loud and mask the reverb and all is like compressed together. Just trying to figure out what people like about it or what was the devs target or view on the sound of it.

Combined with a few other special fx plugins it generates awesome dark textures. This is not the reverb if you want realistic (use HOFA IQ-Reverb or Altiverb) or general use (use Relab, Exponential Audio or Lexicon, NI RC stuff, even H-reverb is perfect for that).

There are others?

Looked at this and it reminded me of Reverbical, except you can set up and morph between up to 96 different room spaces

All I can say is ... don't buy with your eyes ... This plugin sounds dreadful (imho).
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Pretty sure that all the "United" stuff is basically just Vojtech with some dudes lending their faces… I assume it's a plot to avoid the Melda stigma

Does Morphverb have that typical Melda finger?

Someone pointed out in another topic of their plugins that it's more than just a bit help. It's the fundamental framework incl. all plugin adapters and even the codesigning.

What to say. There are even melda plugins (like the spectral delay or the charmverb) which are just a new gui for MXXX algorithms or mturboreverb and I think this is no exception. I even don't think it sounds good or fits much of my typical testcases. I also noticed pretty high CPU. Don't know if it's just my machine.

What would be that stigma, honest question?

Yeah i don't know what to say, i don't like it either and i tried a lot, seems like the get a lot of hustle in the forums every now and then, along some praise, heard some good words about some of their plug-ins but i haven't tested them. I own a couple and thats it they do what they supposed to.

The reason I mentioned SparkVerb is because it had morphing between different kinds of reverb years ago - so this MorphVerb is not revolutionary.

PS to add fuel to the Melda conspiracy, with other United Plugins stuff when you access presets, settings panel or the activation window etc they pop up in the Melda style GUI interface. Having said that, Royal Compressor doesn't sound like anything Melda could have done inhouse, ditto FireCobra.

But this new "Muramasa" dev behind MorphVerb came out of nowhere it seems, so yes... a little shady.

Post

I think I may have uncovered the conspiracy:

M for Melda
uramasa is SHONA (according to Google Translate) for 'you are fine'

So there you have it. What do you think?
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

I'm only adding that it's strange all "individual" devs use the same generic "info@" email address for support. And the contact formular advised in the product information does not exist.

Not going to say something about the plugin as I'm not interested in them.
