Thanks you all. I've been writing a lot lately and working on a bunch of different things, but I thought if the few overt political rants I wrote were ever going to see the light of day, it might as well be before the upcoming election. I even have a B-side, which I guess I should officially post too but I'm not as happy with it - if that's the right word... :|

Anyway, it's been fun linking the lyric page to stuff on the net... :)

Let your peers determine your worthiness :x

this is a cool track. the lyrics remind me a lot of the most recent KMFDM stuff. mainly the way the political references are used. really cool stuff.

Great song you(tm)... The bassline reminds me some eighties tune.. that I can't put my finger on at the moment...

The link to the map of where the Weapons of Mass destruction are made me laugh. I had a little browse of "the Little Pebble's" website, and read the accompaning letter. What a strange guy he is. I can't believe other people would believe his crap. Fundamendalists in any religion are scary. :scared:

I remembered what it reminded me of... Eurythmics. Sweet Dreams are Made of This. :hihi:

"Sweet dreams are made of this" : Eurythmics
-was that the one?

Cool song :) Lyrics can be a bit hard to distinguish now and then for a non-native ear.

Maybe you're thinking of the Eurythmics... maybe not. I admit I have a fondness for the 8th and 16th bubbbling synth bass that used to be so popular twenty years ago.

...Twenty years? :-o

Well, this song would have been perfect back then. Very anti-Reagan...

I'm hope that the "my fellow Americans" bit didn't scare too many away. It wasn't exactly about nationalism. That's the way all our politicians preface their 'speechifying' these days. And speechifying is all they are doing right now. It's a good warning to disengage the brain until the compulsory applause dies down. I want to see if it worked for me too...

:hihi:

nice track, reminds me to a band from boston "freezepop".a little more rocker what you did.
love this kind of oscillation in the tune :D

Great track! :D Puts me in mind more of NIN/Marilyn Manson. Like the ending as well. 8)

Great stuff indeed! :hihi:

Thanks!

The ending is a really big manual filter sweep on my magic Moog Prodigy. I thought of it like the sound of a mind/memory-erasing ray that the government could use on us so we'll forget about all the bad stuff and vote for four more years.
