!!EDIT!! I use only PC. I did use Mac when my brother lived here, but now only PC. I did try Garageband in Mac and it was nice. That is why I know I like to make music. But yes only PC is in my use now.

!!EDIT2!! I don't need the DAW for live shows. I only make music inside home. I need vocal recording, I don't record piano or anything, only vocal.

What I search is the DAW under 400e (or it can be DAW + extra VST instrument but MAX 400e together). I have here list of things I think are important for myself

1. I need pianoroll for make my melody (it is nice if I can easy edit the melody in pianoroll = copy, paste, drag from octaves). I don't use hardware instruments or midi pianokey (I can use keyboard in computer).

2. I want to record audio with the one DAW (I have Shure microphone ready for this). And I need to edit vocal with the DAW (make the vocal volumes compressed so this is also important for this DAW) + reverb + delay for vocal also more.

3. Good instruments for bass sound + lead synth sounds specially (I make EDM music so this is the genre). Drums I can use samples no worry for drums so much. Or if the DAW is maybe cheaper I can buy extra synth (maybe Serum I think it has nice sounds and I like to use it but I will try other VST later). But the price together max 400e is important!

4. Tools for the final mix + mastering!! EQ, Compressor, Maximizer etc what are needed (I don't know everything yet but I don't want to learn to use the DAW and find out it is not good for the FINAL mix + master).

Important! I don't want it to be "good for beginner"! I want it to be GOOD for later use also! I want to learn one DAW good and my budget is not good for many DAW :D

I know anybody will have their own favorite DAW. But I look for advices so I can look + search more of the DAW and maybe try it if it is good for myself. I thank anyone who will help me.

One thing more! Updates of the DAW can be free or not free. If the DAW is good already, I don't need to buy the upgrade if I don't have money or buy upgrade later if it is very interesting upgrade.

Studio One Pro - I have been through a recent process looking for a replacement for Reaper and Studio One Pro is very impressive so I bought it secondhand through KVR marketplace. Instruments and FX can be added later if you have to as there will be money left over - but first I would spend time with the included ones. Always buy secondhand or on sale, and if you can never buy anything that does not let you resell it later

FL Studio is the best when it comes bang for buck. It has everything.

not great for audio tho - Demo away and if the style gels with the OP then go for it.

Cubase Artist 10.5. Probably the best in what concerns working with MIDI (which you will need for the virtual instruments).

And you will be able to later upgrade to Cubase Pro, if you want so.

And the virtual instruments collection that comes with it is impressive.

Yeah, that's what I also thought. Seems to fit the requirements of having a solid DAW for use with audio with good included instruments and FX the best.

For 400 eur you have plenty of options:

1. Ableton Live Suite is currently on sale. You can get it for around 350 eur at bestservice.com if you choose prices in Eur and billing address outside EU - so on a final checkout page your price will be reduced by EU VAT which will make total of 350-360 eur. With Suite you'll have everything you need. Or get Live Lite (you can find it free or for $5 or so) and buy an upgrade to Suite (it will cost 310 eur without VAT.

2. Bitwig studio. Its polyGrid modular synth sounds better than most of VST synths out there. And you can do same trick with EU VAT at bestservice.com. So it will cost you around 320+ EUR.

3. Logic - if you're on a Mac - for $200 you get everything - from drums to excellent synths and some of the best effects. If I would need to choose one DAW with no extra VSTs I would take Logic.

4. Studio One - you can get it on this forum for around $150. And spend some extra on VSTs.

I think you can try cakewalk bandlab. It has comping feature for recording. It doesn't cost and you can access full feature. You lose nothing.

Mixcraft + you can buy extra synth with your budget.

This.

Also Reason 11 is very good. Intro is very capable and only 79€ and you can upgrade to full or suite when you feel that you can handle it.

Sounds like a ideal job for 2nd hand Studio One 4 Pro (around EUR150) + some VST(s), because its instruments are good, but pretty limited: basically one synth and one sampler.

I also really want to say Reason 11, which out of the box has everything you need now and for foreseable future, but it's an acquired taste. Try the 30 day demo out, although it's on sale only until 10th May.
