I have raised a support ticket but I wondered if anyone has or has ever had this particular problem with Avenger?
I have this problem with the very latest version and the previous version.
In the previous version (1.5.5) what happens is whenever I would open a Cubase project for the 1st time, when playing back the song in my sequencer (Cubase 10 pro) whenever a midi part was played that triggered Avenger, it would cause an audio dropout on all channels so there is a 1 sec blip. Once I have played every Avenger instance for the 1st time it would be fine unless I didn’t trigger an Avenger instance for 30 mins or so it would happen again.
This only ever happened after loading a project for 1st time or if I had not triggered a part played by Avenger for a while like 30 mins or so.
I initially thought that it was maybe an ssd or an external sampler drive was powered down or something but that was not happening as I have set them to never power down. (My OS is on an SSD, Avenger is on a seperate SSD).
Now in (1.5.7) it happens exactly the same but it happens if an Avenger instance is not played for a short time like 1 or 2 mins, then I get a blip where is stalls the audio stream.

Excuse my total noob question, but how do you exactly make the arpeggiator in Avenger NOT retrigger each time a note is played, but run to the end of the sequence?

If you're talking about "SQ Sequences" then the bottom part of the keyboard is the Sequence trigger, and the upper part of the keyboard is the "lead" sound. Pressing a key in the upper part of the keyboard won't retrigger the SQ.SouledOut wrote: Fri May 08, 2020 12:20 pm Excuse my total noob question, but how do you exactly make the arpeggiator in Avenger NOT retrigger each time a note is played, but run to the end of the sequence?
Pressing new keys in the bottom part of the keyboard does retrigger.

I think you mean to keep the loop running seamlessly while playing rather than restarting, right? To do that, just overlap your notes. A clean start retriggers, an overlap runs it on.SouledOut wrote: Fri May 08, 2020 12:20 pm Excuse my total noob question, but how do you exactly make the arpeggiator in Avenger NOT retrigger each time a note is played, but run to the end of the sequence?

No, no... I know the zones well. Question is about the arpeggiator module itself. Say I programmed quite a lenghty sequence in there and I hit a note. Then hit another. Now, I do not want the arpeggiator to retrigger on the next note start, I want it to play the full arp seq to the end, but at the new note pitch.Bansaw wrote: Fri May 08, 2020 12:26 pmIf you're talking about "SQ Sequences" then the bottom part of the keyboard is the Sequence trigger, and the upper part of the keyboard is the "lead" sound. Will stick to multiple instances then as I did so far, and thx to Noiseboyuk too.

My arps are not retriggering when I move to a new key, it keeps on going.SouledOut wrote: Fri May 08, 2020 3:44 pm No, no... I know the zones well. Question is about the arpeggiator module itself. I have to move really quickly between notes though, almost legato speed. If I leave a little space between notes it does retrigger.

oh. my. goodness. I sort of ignored Avenger because, well, how many synths do I need. Recently someone offered me a trade for their Avenger so I demoed it. Amazing! Wow! Avenger is very powerful and sounds amazing to me. Problem is the guy had a 2nd hand license which he found out is NFR. #noNFR !!
I worked out that if I bought it at the 20% off sale price, if I were to decide to sell it, I would end up spending about $100 and have nothing. I ended up finding a guy to sell his to me for $100 so that way, even though I can't sell it, at least I have it.
Then I subsequently picked up some 3rd party sound libraries for it (the VPS ones are too expensive! $65US!).
Anyway... amazing synth. Looking forward to digging into this thread...

Hey Manuel, msvs wrote: Mon May 04, 2020 7:31 am you are on the "add product to account" page. Click below on your Avenger.
Any chance that the other plugins get some attention in a foreseeable timeframe? I’m not saying that there is a lot which needs to be addressed , but a slight update for the GUI’s especially for higher resolutions and some minor tweaks would be welcome. On top of my head a simple reverse option for the impulse responses in impulse would be highly welcome. Or the ability to move the hi pass and lopass of the combined filter sliders at the same time, by dragging the area in between...
Anyway, would love to hear from you. Have a nice weekend!
Cheers

Would love to see a Philta XL and the others as well with a overhauled GUI.

yes, but not in the foreseeable timeframe. Let me explain: when you say a "slight GUI" update, this is in reality a very time consuming process. To move all plugins on the new framework and design completely new vector based 4k skins, would take us at least 1 year, maybe longer. In this time no other thing could be adressed, no bugfixes for Avenger etc...hlecram wrote: Fri May 08, 2020 9:49 pmHey Manuel, msvs wrote: Mon May 04, 2020 7:31 am you are on the "add product to account" page. Thank you for the clear and straight answer! Well, I guess it makes sense to go all vector at this point and given there seems no work to be a done on that, I guess I have to wait.
I’m fine with that btw, no complaining on my side!

I asked the same in the "Facebook Fanclub", but got no answer, perhaps they all blocked or ignor me there, because I'm not a big fan and posted some angry posts there, too?
At the weekend a friend called me and we talked about Avenger and why I don't like and don't use it. So I told him my experience.
And then we found out, that for example all "SQ Presets" with beats in the expansion "Trance Two" were blown up massively with the "MB Limiter" in the master FX section. That would be no problem, but it seems, that this "effect" is completely controlled by the kick and the kick steps in the drum sequencer. If you mute the kick or reduce the volume or velocity or delete a step in the sequence, it always affects all other sounds, too! Perhaps in a "1 finger preset" that's indifferent, but that's a synth for whole tracks, right?
So all that preset beats are only usable in a song arrangement, as long as the kick is running and if you don't have parts in a track without the kick. And that makes absolutely no sense, because every change of the kick always affects all other sounds and the whole Master FX section, too!
Many years ago I used the kick as a "main controller", too, but to avoid such nonsense in the DAW, I routed a kick to two mixer channels, one sent the signal to the compressors / limiters / master channel and the other one only controlled the "on / off" signal. So, if I had a part without the kick, I simply sent the "off signal" from mixer channel two and nothing affected the other sounds. Of course this is a dated solution, meanwhile I'm using VSTs with adjustable curves on every mixer channel.
But that's not possible with that Avenger presets, because it has no multi outs. And using an instance for every single sound doesn't work also, because every sound needs the kick!
So finally my question is, how is it possible to use that presets in a track, which has parts without the kick? And of course, if there is an option in Avenger for that, I apologize!

I'm not sure about the Trance Two expansion but most of the presets do use the MINI-CHAIN effect and don't need the kick for triggering any pumping. If not, just slam the MINI-CHAIN effect on your FX channels including the MASTER FX and adjust to your taste.clipnotic wrote: Mon May 11, 2020 6:08 pm I asked the same in the "Facebook Fanclub", but got no answer, perhaps they all blocked or ignor me there, because I'm not a big fan and posted some angry posts there, too?![]()

Yes, I have this issue too. Not sure it ever went away. Can't say I've noticed it after short pauses. Mainly only after the first load.kenny saunders wrote: Tue May 05, 2020 8:13 pm Whenever I would open a Cubase project for the 1st time, when playing back the song in my sequencer (Cubase 10 pro) whenever a midi part was played that triggered Avenger, it would cause an audio dropout on all channels so there is a 1 sec blip.
