Rewire is nice. I don't really care about the MIDI improvements. Acid still does a few things better than any other software but that centers around the ability to use bits and pices of a loop to change up the pattern.

I'd like to know whether the Beatmapper import will now allow you to manually add measure boundary "guide" markers through the track so that you can adapt songs with subtly shifting tempo!

You know, like when they used to play music *without* sequencers?

Otherwise you have to break a song up into sections and Beatmap them separately...

That looks pretty damn good to me. I've always liked the way Acid handles loops better than Live. I find the "painting" metaphor much faster to rearrange things.

bu the pricing is not up at all yet...shop still has acid pro 4

If it follows the same routine as when SonicFoundry was the developer it will start at $149 for the suckers that jump in the first day, drop to $99 after a short time, and then Guitar Center will have it new for $149.

I learned my lesson about upgrades from SonicFoundry. Don't jump too fast. I wonder if things will change with Sony?

actually, and now that it's a rewire slave I'd think I'd rather have acid than live 3. looks like my live license is up for grabs again

Yeah I would think of updating to 5 for video support since Tracktion doesnt have it. If video synced with Tracktion through Rewire it would be dope!
