How many audio software subscriptions do you maintain?

zero , but not because i hate them

i don't have time for hate .

actually , i have never encountered a software with a subscription that i thought i needed .

if there was some convenient service with a pay per use , i wouldn't hate it . i can't say i would use it , but i wouldn't hate it

I hate them, in the same way I hate milk in coffee. However, with any software, there is the constant fear that the day will come when it is no longer supported. This could be because of many different things - the company may go bust, may sell out to Apple, etc. With a sub, you're probably screwed, because the software will stop working.
Having said that, I took out a sub with EastWest. I treat it as an extended demo, because their libraries need a lot of practice to get good results. When the year is up I'll cancel and buy (Black Friday here I come!) the libraries I like.

Nice results so far. Despite the holier than thou attitude of most here towards the piracy, majority have committed it at one point or another. Not surprising though for anyone who knows how these things work.

I love subscriptions that give you something back, such as Plugin Alliance and Kilohearts. Splice rent to own is great too.

What I do not like at all in this poll is the construction of an opposition
between copy protection and piracy. It seems to be the case in some
answers that whoever rejects copy-protection is automatically a pirate
hacker.

But that is not the case! I know many people who now have
a deep aversion to many copy-protection methods. But that does not
inspire them to circumvent these copy-protection procedures. No!

Instead they cavort in the field of free and open source software. A lot
happens in this field, and everyone can contribute to making this free
software even more diverse and better.
