I'm using the latest version of Reason Studios, and I've owned Reason since version one. Heck, I've even been on this site forever, though I couldn't remember my former name so I'm back to low post counts.
-
I don't normally post inflammatory posts, but I would like to point out to Reason Studios that their support options aren't working on their site.
-
By that I mean, I purchased a Refill I already own.
Please don't judge, I'm in a bit of pickle (HA!)
In which due to having had a stroke, I'm living with my mother, and I'm having to rebuild my music computer.
-
Um, due to some brain issues, I don't have a great memory, at this time, and so yup, I've accidentally thrown some money at Reason Studios that I want to somehow see if I can get a refund.
I go to: support.
Seems like a good place to start.
https://help.reasonstudios.com/hc/en-us
That gets to me to a page where I can choose to find further information on lots of things, so I choose the option for Shops, Rent-to-Own, and Subscriptions.
Seems like an OK guess for what I need, right?
https://help.reasonstudios.com/hc/en-us ... scriptions

Still no person that might help me, but I'm patient.
HA! I need that money for food or other Reason REFILLS!
:)
So, I check my choices, and guess again, with What is your refunds and purchase policy?
https://help.reasonstudios.com/hc/en-us ... ns-policy-

And finally! There is a CONTACT link in case I still haven't managed to get a refund, or even real support re such questions, and when I click on that CONTACT button?

I'm sent through a portal that asks for my name and password, making me think MAYBE I'm about to see a useful form, before I end up back on the main page at Reason Studios.
Um.
:-x :help: :-x
OH!
And then I used the form on this page:
https://www.reasonstudios.com/contact/feedback

Filled out all of the information, tried to write a nice little paragraph re: this issue, pressed "submit" and POOF! the whole thing simply disappeared, no email to me confirming a form submission, nothing.
At this point, I thought AHA!
I'm having a browser issue, and I tried with the browser I use for testing such issues, Safari.
I had started with Chrome.
Went through all of this again with the same results.

I just contacted them through the form and everything was ok. I got back an email and waiting for contact.

From this page, you were able to click on the "Support Form" link in the upper right, and you were taken to a page with a form?
I still cannot get that to do anything but send me back to a home page.
And I just tried resubmitting a form from the page above and again, poof, and no email confirmation. I'm going to assume this is my problem, I wish I knew what, and I wish I hadn't been so thorough in subject title, but sigh.

Works fine here in that it gets me to the support form page but i didn't test it any further.

Do you have any addons that might be limiting your access to various pages?
Mac mini m4 pro, Reaper, too many plugins, Modal Argon8, Novation Circuit Mono Station and now a lovely Waldorf Blofeld.

Yup.
What happens when you go to that page?
For me, first, I see an Upgrade to Reason page, and then, I see a Login Page, when I've logged into that page?
Back to the an upgrade page.
I never see a form.
Tried it in the latest versions of Chrome, Safari and Firefox.
Oh. All Mac OS though, I need to change my sig.
I've ended up with a used iMac so everything has changed.

I'm already logged in before opening the page and on a iMac as well. I can see the form, i've filled it up earlies and send my request. Maybe try going into incognito mode so no extensions are used (except if you changed the settings) and try it that way.

Also? Thank you so much for taking the time to report that to me.
It must be something I'm doing wrong, and I posted such an inflammatory headline hoping someone would come and here and school, and so far, you're doing great, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong!
I'm going to try logging into a Windows partition to see what happens.

Happy to help, i'm sure you'll find a solution very soon. Try even on your phone.

I can access both of these form too. Thinking of what might be the cause for you to not be able to do so (and considering you already tried two different browsers) I have a hunch that there may be some bizarre geoblocking going on. (I am in Europe.)

Post

Well, to add in information, I just tried with Windows 10 and all the browsers on the Windows side, and no go.
The same thing happens: I'll get to the login window, for, I assume, that support form, I login (again, because this happens even if I'm already logged in), the screen will churn, and it'll show up at a window that says, Plug-in Reason "upgrade now."
So, I'm starting to like your theory.
Now, what do I do?

there could be a DNS issue either with your ISP or your own networking setup? kinda what it seems like to me. if it's doing that on two systems at the same house, you may want to ensure that your router is set to pull correct DNS servers automatically rather than a manual entry. you'll have to google how to check that per your particular router.

you can also try to connect via a VPN if you have access to one.

Post

Dang! I was sure you were on to something with the DNS issues, as I had set mine to Google's and the Open DNS numbers, so I went back and checked, reset everything to the ISPs numbers, and still, using the link you posted, I have to sign in, only to end up back at a page suggesting I upgrade to Reason Studio. No form.

Today, I ran into the same problems, decided to try from a completely different computer, but same router, and I had no luck, but then, all of the activity must be getting through somewhere, because in very very small type, a line of text popped saying the user account had been blocked, and to contact Sales, an underlined link.
So I clicked on the link.
And ended up in the same loop as described above.
What started all of this is that I accidentally purchased a Refill I already owned, and I wanted to see if there was anything I could do about that.
The answer so far is: suffer more than usual. :)

FYI, if it helps, when I go to my account, and go down to the bottom of the menu choices, where it says, My Tickets...
If I click on that I get the same behavior. ie browser spins for a moment and then spits me out on the Upgrade to Reason Studios page, which would be fine, if I hadn't already done the upgrade, and now I'm stuck in this loop of my own making. Woe!
