wonderful...I am loving all the stuff you've been putting up on youtube btw!jcub wrote: Mon Apr 20, 2020 1:58 pm This piece is part of a series called "Empty Spaces" which explores animals moving through an empty world abandoned by humans (not that anything like that would every happen). The first two were solo piano pieces, the third is a collaboration with a drummer that is in the works, and this chapter uses a number of elements to represent a cityscape. LinnStrument is playing the lead violin part in the middle and triggering some of the orchestral patches from Spitfire Audio's Albion Tundra.
I hope everyone is hanging in there.

Both of your new tracks are fantastic as usual. You are really showing what a pro can do with two hands on the linnstrument! As a longtime jazz lover, but faker as far as playing it goes, for me it's so exciting to see someone who can really play jazz dig into this instrument with two hands.FontaineBurnett wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2020 12:43 pm This is one I’ve been working on this week. I call it “Defenseless”. (Yes, the U.K. Spelling)
Giving into love...giving into what life brings. Accepting it as a gift and an opportunity.
Vulnerability isn’t weakness but a great strength.
Composed on the LinnStrument and recorded/produced on the iPad

Thanks Stephen! I‘m getting somewhere...slowly but surely!
And if you don‘t consider yourself a jazz player...well, you sure had me fooled!
It was your videos that made me even think that it was possible!

Steve - thanks for the kind words. You have outstanding videos and are an outstanding player. I remember our jam session which was a ton of fun!
This song is a work in progress - I may add vocals (not mine, don’t worry!). Audio Modeling’s SWAM viola played on LinnStrument is carrying the melody line here.

Short and simple Saturday afternoon doodle. Clearly I'm no Fontaine (seriously excellent playing, there), but I think this sounds pretty and I hope you enjoy it.

I am now working with a rather well-known vocalist (although I can't say who yet) and so far, the vocal version is sounding great. He has not asked whether the viola is real which is a credit to the Audio Modeling folks. Here is a (non-performance) video of the instrumental version.jcub wrote: Fri May 01, 2020 1:50 am This song is a work in progress - I may add vocals (not mine, don’t worry!). Orange Tree Samples Evolution Strawberry and Audio Modeling SWAM sax on this one:
Was definitely the hardest I've ever worked on a video. My first time using more than 2 camera angles. I learned a lot.
I actually edited both the music AND the video in Reaper. I didn't even know you could edit video in reaper until just this week. Openshot was failing me, so I started looking for alternatives and Reaper was way better. Which is surprising since video isn't really it's thing, but it was unquestionably better than openshot.

Made an overseas quarantine collaboration with my friend. Lots of LinnStrument used, playing a multi-sample Wurli (Bitwig), SWAM Violin/Viola/Flute, and Bass (combo of SWAM Bass and Helm). Bass and Wurli clips in the video are the live playing, but I had to pantomime the Flute and Violin to get video footage of those parts.
