Well it's normal that you have to select the resonance knob to tweak the resonance modulation.
In the treeview, it will not focus the connection but you can still edit the ratio by using the inspector below.
The thing is that if double click to select worked, it would only select this connection on this particular destination (this particular on this one keygroup for example). So if you had a multi sampled patches, it probably won't do what you would expect hence my reluctance to do it.

Now working for a couple of months with Falcon and still discovering new things without even diving in the lua scripting. This synth is deep and well made
. (thanks Otristan! ). I was wondering if one could browse from within Falcon in the various ufs soundbanks that come with the various Falcon expansions. A bit like source browsing in Omnisphere2. There is a wealth of resources (samples, wavetables..) in the soundbanks but not really visible for the user (correct me if I am wrong). Yes, one can edit an existing preset containing a certain sample or wavetable but not from a new preset. I bought Sparkverb in the sale in order match other synths with Falcon’s Sparkverb. Sparkverb has some plate presets. Are they similar to the ones created by UVI plate, thus similar algorithm? Is the UVI plate going to make it into Falcon someday or is this wishful thinking?

UVI Plate is completely different to Sparkverb.

Are all Falcon effects and seq's/arps available to buy separately?
edit: just found the site: https://www.uvi.net/en/effects
this is only a handful. I think something like Soundtoys effect rack with all Falcon effects and players would change the game. Again.

Oh yes, the inspector, indeed. This I was not aware of. Thanks for the hintotristan wrote: Mon May 11, 2020 7:47 am Well it's normal that you have to select the resonance knob to tweak the resonance modulation.

I am not sure, if I get your point. If you have connections from Layer (or higher) level to Keygroup level, then you see all connections under each modulator. If connections from a modulator lead to different keygroups, it shouldn't play a role, because then a click just would lead to this appropriate connection you select. Am I wrong?otristan wrote: Mon May 11, 2020 7:47 am The thing is that if double click to select worked, it would only select this connection on this particular destination (this particular on this one keygroup for example). Yes but it would need to change as well the currently selected keygroups which you probably don't want to happen in case of multi sampled synth for example.

I’d love to see something like this. Maybe a simple rack like SoundToys and an expanded modular effects rack with series, parallel, feedback routing and some of the modulators and pitch and time algorithms from Falcon.enCiphered wrote: Mon May 11, 2020 10:57 am Are all Falcon effects and seq's/arps available to buy separately?

I would indeed then expect to change the keygroup, since I wanted that by clicking the according connection. Would be better then, to mark to which keygroup a connection belongs. For me this behaviour would be logical.otristan wrote: Mon May 11, 2020 4:02 pm Yes but it would need to change as well the currently selected keygroups which you probably don't want to happen in case of multi sampled synth for example.
But I know what you mean - maybe for others then this could be regarded as cluttered somehow...maybe that's the reason

So sounddesign-wise, it would make sense to have plate inside Falcon?

I would love to see that UVI was selling the whole falcon fx section as a separate plugin. And then a smooth transfer of settings possible. For example 80 EUR for the fx plugin, if you are a Falcon owner. 160, if you don't own Falcon.

Sure! But your CPU wouldn't be happy. Plate is quite demanding.Cepheus wrote: Sat May 16, 2020 7:39 amSo sounddesign-wise, it would make sense to have plate inside Falcon?

I assume it will go the other direction, so bring on the Falcon waveshaper as an individual plugin, it just sounds so good.

Does UVI have a decent sale on this? What's the lowest price it's gone for? I would love a demo to try before laying down $350!
