I'm with xoxos, I think your sister's vocals are great.

Good tune, like the effects and arrangement, I'm not so sure about the rap, but the lead vocals are what vocals should be about.

I have to agree with ebinary about that one little vocal part.
not really something I'd normally listen to, but i think you did a good job with it.
(I've got cd's full of vocal stuff my daughter has done; should break it out and experiment

ok. this is just a really phenomenally cool track

if the vocals were any more "pro" than they are it wouldnt work as well, the mix of the very offkilter effects, interesting programming, and the vocals is really nice.

Good thing I only recorded them with an SM57 through the mic preamps on my Behringer MX602A.

You know, this really is a catchy tune. Been stuck in my head all morning. Given that that space in my brain is normally reserved for Christmans carols (!?), I'm not sure how you'll feel about it. Still, I'd like to think it was compliment.

I just meant the stutter rhythms, like at 0:14 and 0:56, and later when you scratch... the sudden cuts are surprising and cool, and are one of the things that makes the track sound well-produced to my ears...

adding/dropping beats was probably not the right choice of words.

Kim, bloody fantastic! Is this all ST2XL instruments? Great vocals from your sister too; please encourage her by showing some of the feedback she's gotten here. Great work mate, thanks for sharing.

Oh, and *never* not post songs here at KvR, there's a lot more varied stuff than ambient glitch here nowadays, so share some more.

Main drums are IK's Techno Kit.
Bass is a mix of two elements - SR's J-Amp Bass, STRETCH'd with the harmonics down two octaves, and some generic saw with no bass and a resonant lopass peaking at about 400Hz.
"Live" drumkit is one of SR's Hyperdrive kits.
Background synths are from all over the place.
One of the background loops (66% swung "ethnic" loop, hard right) isn't from SampleTank.
The scratches weren't from IK or SR, but I loaded them into the ST2 engine.
Guitars are all played by me, through Amplitube.
